Chapter Eleven  

"Get in the car."I say in an irritated tone, "Hey Wint."Brad greets with an apologetic look on his face, " Do not hey Wint me Simpson."I say while starting the car,"Put your seatbelt on!"I exclaim.

"Yikes chill,why are you so angry?"He asks and I ignore him, "Wint."

"What Bradley,what!?"

"Could we umm please give my friend a ride?"He asks and my nostrils flare up, "Are you serious right now?"

"Please Winter,it's late and his car is out of gas."Bradley pleads, "Bradley you have not even been at the school for two months,how do you already have friends?"He gives me a smug look, "What can I say,I'm a likeable person."I roll my eyes, "Just call your friend so that we can go,I do not want to get in trouble with my mother."I say and he hops out the car running towards his friend, "So annoying,I do not even know why he has to stay with us!" I mumble to myself while checking my rare view mirror, "Where is your friend?"I ask Bradley as he enters the car, "He's coming,he just needed to get one last red cup."Bradley responds, "Wait what?!"

"I said he needs to get his phone..."I roll my eyes, "Is that Jake!?" I asks while looking into my rare view mirror, "Oh yeah I guess he got his phone."I turn my head and look in Bradley's direction, "Wait is Jake the  friend you were talking about?"

"Yes."He responds and I pull my hoodie over my head so that it can cover my whole face, "Four eyes whats wrong,why are you acting so strange?"I abruptly turn to face him, "Do not and I repeat do not call me four eyes in front of Jake."He gives a bewildered look, "Why?"

"Bradley just please do not embarrass me in front of him please."I beg, "Or what?"He asks a smug look on his face.I grab his collar and pull him close, "Do not try me Simpson!"

"Ummm I'm I interrupting something?"Jake asks after getting in the car, "Umm Jake hi."I say while pulling my hoodie down and setting back properly in my seat, "Hi Winter,how are you doing?"

Eeeep he knows my name!!!!
Answer stupid!

"Good."

"Well I'm also good thanks for asking."He says and I mentally face palm myself, "Sorry I just have a lot on my mind."

"It's okay."

"So how was-

"Brad dude did you get that girl's number?"Jake says plain ignoring the fact that I was about to ask a question, "Na dude I didn't,I mean how could I you were all over her."Jake scoffs, "Dude did you see her titts how could any guys resist that?"

"I'll give you her number when I get home,my phone died."Jake responds, "Dude you already have her number?"Brad ask while turning his body to face him, "Yeah she asked for my numbers and I'm sure she already texted me."He says and I try not to cry while listening to my crush talking about how he was making out with some random girl.

Bradley and Jake talked about girls the whole way,the only time they talked to me was when Jake needed to charge his phone so that he could show Bradley his new 'chick' and when he had to give me directions to his house,the only good thing that came from this car ride was the fact that I know where he lives.

"Bye Brad,thanks for the ride see you tomorrow."Jake says while closing the car door and walking towards Brad's window, "Winter open."Bradley commands,I roll my eyes while pushing the button.

Jake pops his head through the window, "You trying out for the basketball team tomorrow right?"

"Yeah,what time is it again?"Brad asks, "Same time as the gymnastics tryouts four o'clock."

Yess so I get to see Jake again tomorrow at tryouts!

"Alright man,I'll see you there."He says and turns ready to walk away but it stops, "Oh Winter."

"Yeah?"

"Thanks for the ride."

"Sure."I say and he walks away.

"Huhaa no please turn that thing off."I say to Bradley after he turns the radio on, "Why?"

"Why?!Why?"

"Yeah why?"

"Because I am tired,I have been in a car driving for three hours while listening to you and your friend talking about girls!"I exclaim, "Oh so you're jealous?"I huff, I am not jealous,I am annoyed.Why would I be jealous?"

"Because you like Jake."He says, "I do not."I lie.

"Yes you do,I could see it."He says and I ignore him, "You see you are not saying anything because you know I'm telling the truth."

"Whatever Bradley just know that you have to explain to my mother why we are only arriving home at midnight on a school night."I say while turning the car engine off and walking towards the front door.I open the door and I see my mother sitting on the sofa with a cup of tea, "Winter Daniel Winchester ,have you seen what time it is!?"My mother exclaims and Bradley chuckles behind me,he is probably laughing at my middle name,I used to get teased all the time for that name that's why I go by Winter, "You are laughing!?"My mother asks while standing up, "No it wasn't me."

"W-

"Aunt Mandy sorry it was my fault I went out with my new friends and I lost track of time so I asked Winter to come pick me up."Bradley explains, "Oh okay,just please let me know when you go out next time so that I can know that you are safe."She says while putting her cup in the dish washer, "I will sorry."

"It is okay,go the two of you should go to bed you have school in the morning."

"Goodnight Mum."I say, "Goodnight sweetheart."She responds with a smile, "Goodnight Brad."

"Night."He says and my mother walks away, "Goodnight Daniel."He says while laughing and walking up the stairs, "Daniel."He says to himself and laughs once again once when reaching the top of the stairs.

"So annoying."I say to myself while turning the lights off and heading upstairs.
