We walk in the salon and we are shocked to see that the salon is not packed,because usually Black Native Salon is packed and you don't even get in without booking an appointment 3 weeks in advance,the reason why this salon is always fully booked is because it's the only salon in this city that knows how to care for African hair, "Yaya hey,how are you?"I greet Yaya my cousin the manger of Black Native Salon, "Hey cuz,I'm good and you?"I sit by the leather chair next to the mirror, "I am good cuz.I am glad that you are not full I have a date tonight and I want to curl my hair."

"Ohhhh who are you going on a date with?"

"Jake."

"What!?You are kidding right!?"She exclaims, "No,he asked me out today at tryouts."Yaya pulls me up, "Come here,we have to make sure that you look your best tonight."She says as she puts the curlers in my hair, "What are you wearing?"

"Well I got a black knee length figure hugging dress,I'm going to wear it with black coat and my black docs."

"Yasss girl you finna look like a million dollars."She says with her New Jersey accent,I chuckle, "So Yaya how is the family doing?"

"They ain't good coz y'all ain't be coming round no more,why's that?"She asks as she puts the last curler in my hair, "My parents have been very busy with work,it has been about a month since my father left."

"So why don't yew come and visit I know we ain't really family but we still raised your ass the least you could do is come see Nona."Yaya says referring to the woman who raised my mother.

"Yaya I would love to come visit but I am just always busy with school and after school I either have to tutor people or I have guitar and cello lessons or I-

"Ayt girl chill,it's fine I getrrit you busy just promise to come visit when yous have time Nona misses you."

"I promise I will."I say with a smile, "Ayt girl I'm done get out my machine."She says and I chuckle, "How much do I owe you?"

"It's on the house,my babe."She whispers so the other lady doesn't hear her, "Thank you Yaya,I promise I will come visit soon."

"You better!"She says as Alex and I walk towards the door, "Bye."Alex and I say simultaneously, "Bye girls."

"Girl,please drop me off at at home my mom just called she says that she has to work the night shift so I have to babysit my brothers."Lex asks after disconnecting the call with her mother, "Okay."

"Married in Vegas ohhhh-

"Okay you were right,this new album by the Vamps is amazing!" Alex exclaims after the song Married in Vegas ends.

"Right!?"

"Girl I will see you on Monday,enjoy your date love ya."Lex says through the open car window as she had already jumped out the car. "Bye,I will call you tonight and tell you everything!"
