"Hinata-Sama, I request of you to quit as I will not be going easy," Neji stated. Hinata looked up and made eye contact with Naruto, who placed her under a small genjutsu. "I won't be going easy either Neji," Hinata stated with a confidence that surprised herself. Naruto placed her under a basic genjutsu to help her get rid of her shyness. "Very well then, Proctor, start the match!" Neji called. "HAJIME!" Hayate called before jumping back to let the two fight. Hinata was incredibly calculating and aggressive, ending the fight with twelve well-placed strikes. She was going in for a final hit when Neji got up and surprised her by hitting her with more palm strikes. The two parried, struck, and dodged as needed. Eventually, though, Hinata started to tire. But she knew in order to feel recognition, she would have to push forward. And that she did, attacking Neji faster to try and end the fight faster. One guy, who had a mask on that looked like a paper plate and a hood covering his hair looked on. On the mask, the words "Pain" and "Mask" were evident. He let out a dark chuckle, "Oh I remember those days," he said, finishing his laugh with a bitter one. Sakura looked at the man confused. "Who are you?" She asked, confused. "I'm a man who lost too much and wears a mask to hide my years of pain," He said with a bitter tone. "Now my affiliation is an ex-anbu captain and now elite jonin of the village hidden in the plains," He said, laughing. "But you can call me Jack," Jack finished. Sakura nodded, satisfied with the answer. Naruto looked at Jack curiously. He knew Jack was hiding something about himself. They all looked back at the fight. Neji had enough practice and knocked over Hinata, sending her flying. He then went charging towards Hinata when Jack jumped in, kicking away Neji. Naruto then jumped down. "That's enough, she lost," Naruto told him. Jack, seeing no need to interfere, jumped back to the stands.
Naruto finished telling Neji to stop and all of the contestants came down and selected a number.
"1," Mito called out. "2," Neji said. "6," Kankuro stated. "5," Dosu said. "4," Sasuke stated. "3," Gaia said plainly. "7," Sakura said excitedly. "nine," Kitane said. "8," Temari stated plainly. "Now that you all have your number, good luck on the chunin exams. They're in one month, and take the time to train," Hayate told them. All of the ninjas nodded and started filing out, preparing to start training for a month.
Hello! First time talking to you all! I know this chapter was really short, but it was because I just wanted to get this out there before anything else so we could start the training arc for team 7. Have a nice day! Ja Ne!
