"All I wanna be, yeah all I ever wanna be yeah, is somebody to you."- The Vamps, Somebody to You Ft. Demi Lovato
Chapter Ten
-KATSUKI BAKUGO GLARED at Hanta Sero, arms crossed in front of the other. The latter, on the other hand looked indifferent and, for the first time in his life, unaffected by the death glare given to him by the ash blonde boy. They were both indifferent to each other because of one girl- Hakai. Hanta was pissed that Bakugo had sabotaged the girl's blind date. He didn't like the ash blonde boy at the moment. They sat parallel to each other at the dinner table, not speaking a word.
"Isn't she supposed to be back by now?" Tsuyu Asui asked, sitting alongside the rest of Class 2A- minus a couple of members.
The members missing included Shoto Todoroki, the new girl- Hakai Sero, and Rikido Sato. Todoroki almost never ate dinner with them at all, so it wasn't out of the ordinary that he wasn't around. Sato, on the other hand had been invited home for dinner by his parents and even had the permission and go-signal from Aizawa-sensei to go home.
Izuku Midoriya's brows furrowed, "It shouldn't have taken her thirty minutes to see the Shiketsu students out."
"We should probably eat without her." A new voice contributed to the conversation, making them all look up at the purple-haired boy who was at the doorway, hands in his pockets while his white persian cat circled his left foot.
"Huh- but why?" Kaminari asked.
"Is she a half white, half blue haired girl, about this tall?" The purple-haired boy leveled his hand to his height, standing near 5'9.
The electric boy nodded.
Shinso's dull eyes stared blankly at everyone. "I saw her on my way back from work."
Everyone's heads looked at him expectantly, waiting for further explanation.
"She's at a cafe eating dinner." He shrugged before sitting down beside Midoriya.
Iida nodded in understanding, "I see."
Midoriya leaned over to Shinso and whispered, "How'd you know who she is?"
Shinso looked at him, "She was eating at my workplace. She noticed my UA pin and we talked for a bit before I left."
Shinso had his round UA button pinned to his bag instead of his work apron now, it was a gift from Class 2A after they had welcomed him to their class a few weeks ago.
The green cinnamon roll's eyes widened. "Woah, she's approachable?"
For all Midoriya knew, Hakai was a force to be reckoned with. I mean, she looked so indifferent to everyone and probably didn't give a single fuck about any of the students here. Kinda like Todoroki in the first few weeks of school.
She single-handedly brought down Hanta Sero without the use of her quirk earlier, and she looked like a delinquent attacking a poor defenseless student. We can't really blame Midoriya for slightly assuming bad about her.
"Did anyone tell her about the dinner schedule?" Momo Yaoyorozu asked the class.
Silence.
"It is my bad." Iida chopped the air.
"I should have told her about it. She must have assumed that she wasn't included for tonight's dinner since she had just arrived. I apologize." He bowed as much as he could while sitting down.
Eijiro Kirishima looked at him, "It's fine, man. At least she's eating dinner right now."
Bakugo frowned lightly, breaking eye contact with Hanta as they all said their prayer of thanks, wanting to eat now.
