Epilogue

I always dreamed of a Summer wedding but I knew as long as I stayed with Seth, I would never get that. Ever since my divorce was finalized from him and when Jason asked me to marry him, I knew when the wedding would be, we just had to agree to the date. Jason wanted everything left up to me but as I told him, it was his wedding also and he had to help. We had already agreed that our colors was going to be red, silver and black. I wanted red and silver and he wanted to add black because it matched his mantra as an MMA fighter. When I told him that I wanted it to be on July twelfth, he did not object.

My bridesmaids are Cheyenne and Aubrey and Dani is the maid of honor. Savannah wasn’t sure about being the flower girl at first but when she saw the dress that I had picked out, she immediately said that she would love to be one. Matty was serving as Jason’s best man and Sam was an usher. We lucked up with a ring bearer with Sam’s little brother. No one else knew of a little boy so when Sam told us that his parents told us they would be honored for us to have Jake as one. At three years old, he is the cutest little thing to with his bright blond hair and little chubby cheeks.

“Mommy,” Savannah gasped. “You look like a princess,” she said after my hair appointment. I took a look in the mirror and was astonished with how well it turned out. They pinned half of it back and curled all of the back in beautiful curls cascading down my back. After the curls were done to perfection, they put little flower rhinestone hair pins in. I had to admit that I looked beautiful and that wasn’t said often.

After we all had our hair done and looking perfect, we went back to the hotel where we were holding the ceremony. The guys didn’t have much to do so I figured they were loafing around their hotel suite and playing some kind of game. Dani said the last time she talked to Sam, he and Matty were fighting of COD. I let them at it because I was to excited about getting the wedding of my dreams. In our hotel suite, I was starting to get a little nervous so I sat down and had a glass of wine. Just as I was pouring my second glass, my phone started to ring and I saw that it was Jason.

    “Hey,” I answered.

“Getting cold feet, yet?”  he asked, jokingly.

“Not at all. I’ve been through this once, remember?”

“But not like this. I can’t wait to see you walk down the aisle.”

“You’re not going to leave me hanging, are you?”

“I’ve waited to long for this moment and if anyone is left hanging, it will be me. I’ve wanted you all of my life.”

“I wish I could see you,” I whispered.

    “We’re keeping this traditional, Melly.”

“But there’s nothing traditional about us.”

“I won’t ruin that little piece of tradition for you. Now, you go and drink another glass of wine and calm down. I’ll be the guy in front waiting for you,” he said.

“How do you know I’m drinking wine?”

“Because I’m on my second beer,” he laughed.

    “Don’t get wasted,” I warned.

“Last one,” he said. “Oh and Mel?”

    “Yeah?”

“I love you,” he said and before I could say anything back, he disconnected.

I had my second glass of wine and called it quits because shortly after I finished, mom came in with my aunt, Mona, who was going to do our makeup. While the girls were getting their makeup done, mom helped me add some more curls to my hair and loaded it down with about half a can of hair spray, making sure that nothing was going to fall out. She also painted my toenails a sparkly red.

My dress is made of royal satin and I had silver lace on the bodice with a beaded neckline. The shoes I picked out was red with black lace peep toe. Dani’s dress was black with a red satin belt at the waist and a rhinestone buckle in the middle. Cheyenne and Aubrey’s dresses were the same except one was a red dress with a black belt and the other was a silver dress. They all were wearing black shoes. Savannah’s flower girl dress was a white and black damask dress with a red sash in the middle, she was wearing simple red ballet flats. I loved how everything was coming together but I still hadn’t seen the inside of the venue where the wedding ceremony is being held and I only got a glimpse of the reception hall. Everyone wanted me and Jason to be surprised so at least I wasn’t the only one that was left in the dark.

It’s been an hour and between my aunt and mom, they were just now starting on my makeup. I was so nervous that I started sweating and they had to find a small fan to help keep me cool. By the time they were finished, I was considerably calmer and stopped sweating. I have never been more nervous in my life. The girls were walking back into the main room after slipping into their dresses and I was getting my shoes on when the door opened and I saw my father and Tom standing there.

    “Wow Melly,” my dad said.

“Jason is a lucky man,” Tom smiled and Susan walked in behind him. Her eyes misted over the second they landed on me.

“You looked beautiful,” she said, hugging me gently.

“Thanks. You look beautiful yourself,” I told her. She was in a beautiful vintage silk dress. The top of the dress was sort of a black and red tye dye and the bottom was just black silk chiffon over a black lining. She looked like she belonged in a seventies TV sitcom.

“Thank you. Now, let’s get all of your flowers and get this thing started. I’m so happy that it’s you who finally made him settle down. I would not trade anything in to have a do-over because it might not have worked out then.”

“Thanks Sue,” I smiled and waved my eyes to keep from crying.

“Here you go, sweetie,” I heard mom from behind me and then saw my bouquet in front of me.

I chose to have two bouquets because I wanted to keep mine from the ceremony but wanted to keep with tradition and throw one to. My big one was a red rose and white calla lily real touch bouquet wrapped with black ribbon and had a few rhinestone buttons around it. The smaller one I would toss was a small mixture of white roses, black carnations and red calla lilies. Dani’s bouquet was white roses and black calla lilies with and red ribbon wrapped around while Cheyenne and Aubrey’s was red carnations and white calla lilies with silver ribbon wrapped around. I was so pleased with how everything turned out and I was just about to start crying when Sue and mom started dragging us out of the suite.

We were standing right outside of the venue when I heard the music start to play. Mom pulled me to the side and let Cheyenne and Aubrey, both being escorted by Sam, step in first. Matty poked his head out into the hallway and smiled real big when he saw me. He made an okay sign with his pointer finger and thumb and held his arm out for Dani. When Savannah had her cue to go, the doors closed and my father took his place by my side. He offered me his elbow and after taking it, I took a few calming breaths.

“No matter what happens from this day forward, always know that you’re my baby girl,” he said, voice breaking.

“Aw daddy. You were suppose to say that at my first wedding.”

“This is your first as far as I’m concerned,” he said, squinting his eyes at me and then smiled. “You look beautiful, honey.”

“Thanks dad. You clean up nice yourself.”

“Not bad for an old man, huh?” he joked and just then, The Wedding March started playing and the doors opened wide.

There was only one word that could describe the decorations and that was astonishing. There was white twinkling lights hanging from the ceiling. There was red, silver and black tulle leading down the aisle and to an arch that had the material and lights entwined through it. It was just beautiful but I really only had my eyes set on Jason. He had no part in picking out my dress so this was the first time he has seen me in it. I got the reaction I was hoping for from him. His eyes trailed me from head to toe. He couldn’t help his smirk when he saw the shoes because he actually pointed me to them.

“You look sexy,” he whispered when I was finally by his side. Dad took my hand and kissed my knuckles, placing my hand in Jason’s, he leaned over and kissed my cheek.

“You two look wonderful,” dad whispered.

“Love you, daddy,” I mouthed to him and seeing tears in his eyes, he turned and took his seat beside my mother.

The ceremony was quite traditional. I didn’t really expect it to be because of how untraditional we were. I wasn’t complaining though because this was truly the wedding of my dreams. The closer we got to the end, the more anxious the both of us were getting. Jason was almost bouncing on his toes.

“Now you may kiss the bride,” the pastor said.

Jason had a wicked grin cross his face as he closed the distance between us. He leaned in close to me and captured my lips with his and wrapped me up in his arms. In one swift movement, I felt like I was falling back so I laced my arms around Jay’s neck and held on. I then realized that he held me against his body and off of the floor. I giggled into his mouth and just kissed my husband back. When he finally set me back on my feet and made sure I was steady, he leaned down for one more kiss.

“I now pronounce you, Mr. and Mrs. Jason Daniel Ryder.”

Jason grabbed my hand and with hardly giving me time to grab my bouquet he was rushing us down the aisle. Once outside of the doors, he planted me another mind blowing kiss.

“How does it feel, Mrs. Ryder?” he asked.

“Better than I ever thought possible, Mr. Ryder,” I smiled.

“Let’s see if we can make it to our reception without the hounds after us,” he smirked, talking about the reports and paparazzi.

All of ours guests had already walked to the reception hall on the other side of the hotel. We were trying to dodge the hounds, as Jay would say, but a few were able to sneak in. I heard the faint click of a couple of cameras but Jason told me not to worry about it. He was happy that people wanted to know about this. You’d think that after so many months of constant questions, people would finally take the hint and believe that the wedding was going to happen.

But it did and as soon as Savannah’s adoption was finalized, we would finally be a complete family.

And I couldn’t be any happier....

The End

For Now

******************************************************************************

Okay guys... so there you go.... THE END....

I really wanted to go on it longer and I know I could have but with everything that has happened with the deaths in my family, I just lost all inspiration for much more writing. I’m not saying that I’ve lost all inspiration for it but considering, that a week after losing my uncle... I lost a cousin.. life has been crazy....

Oh and let’s add to the fact that I am officially on academic warning at my college... :\

So with that being said... if I make below a 2.0 on my GPA than I will be put on academic probation... and that thought frightens the crap outta me. I lost so much focus last semester and I’m set to graduate this time next year (after I complete my clinicals) and I do not want to mess that up.

I also want to send a thanks out to everyone who has been so understanding and for your kind words and prayers sent via Wattpad. It really does mean a lot. I know I do not know any of you personally but it has helped rereading your words.

I once again want to say that I have not given up writing but with my semester starting next week, it’s time to focus on school. I will continue to write when I get a chance but please understand that education comes first. I have received a lot of comments about this subject also. School was easy for me 10 and 1/2 years ago when I actually didn’t really bother with a lot things but now that I am nearing 30, married, having a child and running a household, school is A LOT harder for me. I get easily distracted.

So... until next time. I hope you all stick by my side and hope you all wait in anticipation for my next story.

As always... Leave me some luv ! ! ! !
