Bonus Chapter #3
Seth’s POV
Something was going on and I would get to the bottom of it. Melissa always picks up the phone. I was about to walk out of the office when there was a call coming in. I felt a smirk cross my lips before I realized it. She knew that she had me to answer to, no matter what.
“Why didn’t you pick up?”
“I went out for a jog and forgot to take my phone with me. I’m sorry, honey,” she said.
“Oh okay,” I said. I knew that she normally jogged the neighborhood after getting Savannah on the bus. “How was it?” I asked.
“Great. Loved the crisp morning air.”
“That’s great, Mel. Well, I’ll let you go back to doing what you’re doing. See you later,” I said to her.
“Sure thing. Bye,” she said and I disconnected.
I know that I’m not the best husband in the world but Melissa never had a reason to lie to me. She was scared of me so I know that she would never disrespect me. I went back to my business, looking at the credit card receipts. There was never anything got past me, just like Mel’s secret card she had gotten a couple of years ago. I knew that she was going to use it to leave me and I’m honestly surprised that she hasn’t done it yet.
The day went by like any other. Around lunch time, Roxanne walked into my office in the shortest leopard print skirt she owned and the tightest, lowest cut tank top. She sauntered over and sat her perky little a** on the corner of my desk. I purposely ignored her because I knew that she would scoot closer. When she did, I still ignored her and she inched closer and closer. When her leg was touching my arm, she dramatically crossed her legs and huffed.
“Hey Roxy,” I smiled.
“Is that all I get?” she sighed, un-crossing her legs and putting her foot on my leg.
“I’m busy right now, Roxanne. You know when I’m busy, there’s no fun,” I told her.
“But it’s lunch time. You know we want our regular,” she whined.
“You know how I feel about your whining,” I said, glaring at her.
Melissa tried that whining crap before and it landed her nowhere. I wasn’t about to take it from someone else. Not even someone as sexy or slutty as Roxanne.
“I’m sorry,” she said quietly. “Seth, can I ask you something?”
“You just did,” I said. When she looked back at me confused, I motioned for her to continue.
“Are you ever going to leave her?” she asked. I sighed and pinched the bridge of my nose.
“We have been over this and over this, Roxy. I’m waiting for her to make the move.”
“But...”
“There are no buts, Roxanne. I am waiting for her so I can get out looking like the good guy. She has to do it and I think she’s going to make her move soon.”
“It better be more sooner than later. I want my Sethy,” she said, trying to sound seductive.
“What did I say about calling me that?”
“I’m sorry.”
I finally had control of someone and I wasn’t about to let that go. Melissa was scared of me but she still bucked against me. She knew the consequences and even those bastard twins of hers have tried to back sas me, especially the boy. Whenever I said anything to him, Melissa would say something to get me to come at her. She was such a pansy, taking the beating that he deserved. Roxanne knew the type of guy I was but where she never has bucked against me so she’s not had to suffer severe consequences like my no good wife.
If and when Melissa ever decided to leave me, I knew she would go straight back to Columbus. There was no doubt in my mind that she would search out the bastards father, Jason Ryder. I still couldn’t stand him even after nearly seventeen years. It would have been fine and dandy had he not ruined my little angel that Mel was before sleeping with him. I could have made Melissa the happiest woman in the world if she had picked me over that thing.
Right now, though, the only thing I was thinking about was the sexy lady in front of me. Roxanne just sort of happened and I’ve not regretted it since. She was ready and willing and who am I to turn it away. The only thing that got on my nerves with her was how needy she was. I liked it at first because she was young enough to be taught the way I needed her to be. We’ve been seeing each other since she was nineteen and she’s twenty three now.
“Seth, it’s been four years. Do you ever think she’ll leave you?”
“I think so and when she does, she’ll owe me the rest of her life,” I smirked and put my hands on the desk, beside Roxy’s thighs.
“But I don’t want the kids,” she whined again.
“Roxanne, the whining,” I said, grabbing her face in my hand. She flinched but looked me right in the eye.
“I’m sorry.”
“The kids are an added bonus. Not only will she have to pay me alimony, she’ll have to pay child support on three kids.”
“The twins aren’t yours.”
“No one but Melissa, me and you know that. And I trust that it will stay that way. If she brings it up in court, I can throw out that she’s crazy. By then, they’ll want to do all kids of tests on her and I’ll already have custody.”
“What makes you think it will go in your favor?” she asked.
“Our favor, baby. You know I have the best lawyers that money can pay for. They’ll get me what I want,” I smiled, leaning over and capturing her lips with mine.

When I got home that day, my suspicions were confirmed. I had to give it to her though, I didn’t think that she would actually have the guts to do it. When I first saw her car gone, I thought maybe that she was at the grocery store or something but than I saw the sympathetic and disgusted looks the neighbors shot towards me. Some had their guesses that I was abusive but they never questioned it. The sympathetic looks were from those who knew that I was a good husband and loved my family. They’d be shocked to actually know what went on.
She had to have had Matthew and Danielle in on her little plan because they hardly left anything. If it fit into the bags they had, it was gone. Melissa probably wasn’t stupid enough to leave Savannah in charge of anything so she was probably doing that while she was “out for her run.”
I signed onto the computer and traced the card to see if she was stupid enough to use it yet. When it came back to a local gas station, I knew that she filled the car up first and then probably pulled the kids out of school. I sat there, smirking at the screen. She honestly thought that I was that stupid. I would give her a couple of days to get there and feel like she was secure but I wouldn’t let her get away with it for long. I would be tracking her soon and because I knew she had that credit card, I had my ways. If she ditched her old cell and got a new one, I’d be able to find her.

“Hello,” she answered
“I just love how you think you can get away from me,” I said, menacingly and smirking to myself
“How did you get my number?” she asked.
“I knew all about your secret credit card. Honestly, I thought you would use it to go off and get a divorce.”
“I filed.”
“Mom,” I heard Matthew in the distance.
“I know where you are, Melissa. I knew you would go running back home if you ever left. I gotta give you credit though, you duped me good. Made me think that you were out for a run. How long have you had it planned, Mel? You know you’ll come back home with me,” I laughed. Before i could get another word out, there was a click and the call was disconnected.
If there was any truth behind her saying that she filed, I can almost guarantee that as soon as she hung up, she called her lawyer and he told her to get rid of the phone. If she doesn’t get another phone, it’ll be a little harder to call her. I would have to make arrangements to get to Columbus. She would come home with me willingly or she would owe me the rest of her life. I also knew that Jason Ryder was still around the Columbus area and still lived there so they would eventually run into each other.
“Roxy, it’s Seth. Why don’t you come by the house tonight, Melissa left,” I left a message.
About an hour later there was a knock on the door. I answered it and of course it was Roxanne, clad in the same clothes as this morning. As I opened the door to let her in, I noticed some of the neighbors openly gawking at my house. The sympathetic looks from this morning were now disgusted looks. As one lady was walking by with her little dog, I even smiled and waved at her. As Roxy walked through the door, I smacked her ample behind and winked at the woman. She started power walking down the sidewalk.
“So, she’s like for real gone?”
“It’s me and you, babe,” I said, pulling her over to my chair with me. “Now it’s time for some more fun,” I said, sitting down and sitting her in my lap so she was straddling me.

I gave Melissa a week to feel like she was safe but I knew I would confront her when she was on her own. I watched her as she walked in and out of her parents house smiling. She was so natural at being happy and I loved that about her. At least I did when we were kids.
One day, I was watching as she left the house. The kids were already at school and her parents were at work, so I wanted to see what she was planning. I followed her to the mall and just followed a few feet behind her. I wanted to laugh at the thought of her thinking that she was safe.
She went and bought the kids a new outfit each and got her some new things. She browsed the stores and when she decided to stop at a jewelry kiosk, I would let my presence be known. I stood at the corner while she walked around, looking at the jewelry. When she got closer, I stepped out so that she would bump into me.
“I’m so sorry,” I said. When she looked up at me, I saw that she was shocked and took a deep breath.
“Wh... what are you doing here?” she stuttered.
“I told you, you can’t get rid of me,” I smirked.
“Please, just go back home and let this happen.”
“What kind of husband do you take me for, Mel? I’m just here trying to make amends with my wife and you’re here trying to deny me that pleasure.”
“Seth, you know as well as I do. Our marriage, hasn’t been working for quite sometime.”
“I don’t know what kind of delusion you’ve been in but I’ve been very happy,” I said, grabbing her by the wrist, twisting it and pulling her to me. “You are my wife and you will go home with me,” I said in her ear.
“Excuse me, I would appreciate it if you would take your hands off of her,” came a voice behind us. I wasn’t quite sure who it was but as soon as I turned to look at the person it belonged to, my blood started boiling.
“Pardon me Mr. Ryder, but this is between my wife and me?” I smiled.
“Melissa, do you want to leave with him?” Jason asked.
“No,” she cried.
“Seth, if you know what’s good for you, you’ll take your hands off of her,” Jason warned.
“Or what, Jason? You may have been intimidating when we were kids but not anymore,” I said, twisting Melissa’s wrist just a little more. Her pain was nothing to me and I had to admit that I was enjoying seeing her in a little bit of pain. Faster than I could tell, Ryder grabbed my wrist and pulled my arm behind my back.
“You may not be intimidated by me any longer but I don’t take to men laying their hands on women. I suggest that I don’t see you around her anymore,” Jason said in my ear.
“Gentlemen, is there a problem here?” came another voice that belonged to a security guard. Jason let go of my hand and stepped next to my no good wife, smiling.
“No, not problem here, officer,” Jason smiled.
“Okay. Ma’am, are you okay?”
“Yeah, I am now. Thank you,” she smiled, cradling her hand. After the security guard left, me and Jason had a stare down. I went to take a step toward Mel and Jason pushed her behind him.
“This is between me and my wife, Ryder. It’s none of your business,” I said through greeted teeth.
“You made it my business when I saw you grab her the way you did, Whitman. Come on, Mel. Let’s go get your wrist looked at,” he said, putting his hand at the small of Melissa’s back and guiding her away from me.
“If you want this to turn into an ugly fight, Melissa, it will be. Be prepared,” I said.
When they were no longer in my view, I was as mad as a hornet. I still couldn’t stand Jason Ryder to this day and it’s been nearly seventeen years. It set me off even more as I watched her willingly let him lead her away from me. He was no good for her than, getting her knocked up at fifteen, ruining her body for the rest of her life. He certainly would not be any better and she needed to learn that.
If she wanted this to turn into a nasty fight, than it wold. If she decided to have a paternity test done on the twins and proved that Ryder was the father of them, that was fine because there was still one child that I knew for a fact belonged to me and I would get her back. Melissa is not ready for the hell things that I have up my sleeve and I hope she is prepared for the fight of her life. She doesn’t have the funds to win this case and will walk away looking like the fool she is.
******************************************************************************
Okay everyone... there is the third bonus chapter. It just shows you that Seth is a twisted sort of man.
I know it’s kind of short but the bonus chapters are just that so I really don’t put a lot of thought into it. It honestly just comes to me and plus I have to go back on a chapter that most of the conversations.. rather confrontations, come from so it’s like “go to chapter, highlight, copy and paste. Make revisions were they need to be.”
The last and final bonus chapter will be Jason’s POV from the time he ran into Melissa at the grocery store. I’m not sure how long it will be or where I’ll leave off on it but the whole confrontation between Seth and Melissa at the mall will be included. I’ll start working on it as soon as I can but today, I’ve got to finish getting my apartment cleaned and do homework. And by the way, let me tell you... Accounting frightens the bejeezus outta me.
Oh... did you know that I posted another start to another story. Go check it out... its called Stolen Innocence. I started it awhile back but put it on the back burner and just recently decided that I would see what kind of response I would get out of it.
Anyway... as always... If you just absolutely loved this chapter... let me know. I love feedback. It makes me know where I need to improve.
Vote fan Comment.... HAVE A NICE DAY ! ! ! !
