A/N: hello lovelies! This is not gender-neutral and I apologize. This is a female reader one shot.
Also, this one has little dialogue because I wanted to capture the fluffiness of the moments Waxer and the reader share.
Anyway, I am stoked I hit 100 reads like this is unbelievable! Thank you all!!
Please enjoy!

This was it.

The big day.

Your nerves were in knots. You felt nauseous each time you thought about what you were going to be doing; walking in front of everyone and being the center of attention.

Although you were a Jedi and you were used to some degree of attention, the act of everyone looking at you, watching you, reveling in your own special moment, almost disgusted you.

But then your mind would shift, would remember, who you were doing this with. Who would be standing by your side during all of this, and a smile would appear on your face and you believed it would be worth it.

Waxer and you had met when he joined your older brother's legion, the 212th.

He was funny and seemed to look out for everyone around him. He had a big heart and that's what drew you to him.

Funny enough Waxer did not know of you until he saw his brother Boil talking to you and Waxer grew curious about who the beautiful woman Boil was talking to.

It had been almost a year since the two of you began your relationship and it had been nothing short of perfect.

Even now, peeking through the curtains that led to the aisle you were to walk down in a few minutes, the sight of Waxer made you fall in love with him even more.

You could tell he was nervous by the way he was rocking on his feet. The way he glanced around every few seconds or so and Anakin would reach over and pat his back, telling him to take a deep breath.

This made you chuckle.

If you were honest, you and Waxer had been waiting for this day almost one month into your relationship.

You still distinctly remember the night he told you when he wanted to marry you, the moment forever cemented inside your mind.

***

You had both just gotten home from long, extensive battles.

Your bodies ached from the war. Your minds riddled with nightmares of chaos.

There was little to no escape anymore.

You found your escape to only be with him and his with you.

Lying in the bed in your apartment, you in a silk gown, Waxer in his blacks, you find peace in each other, listening to one another breath and the audible beat of each other's hearts.

You were curled into his side. A hand on his chest drawing lazy circles. His arm underneath your head, playing at your hair sparingly.

It was silent, but that's all you really wanted, all you needed, at this point in your lives.

He was humming softly, feeling the vibrations through his chest.
