A/N: 1k reads!!! AND #1 in Rex! I am absolutely honored! I actually cried when I saw it. Thank you all so much for everything!
This is not gender-neutral.
It is no secret that I miss Crosshair immensely. He needs to come back😭
Life with the Bad Batch, Maker, there was no way to describe it.
It was chaotic, messy, a little too intense sometimes, but you loved it. Relished in it, the missions, in the company.
When the group had taken in Echo, they had taken you in as well.
Skako Minor was a horrid planet, you could remember it so vividly. You heard the things they did to Echo, things they made him unknowingly do.
You weren't a tool to them, just leverage. They used you to threaten any Jedi or Republic forces that came to the planet. You were seldomly used, honestly, and spent most of your days locked up in a room next to where Echo was being held.
You and Echo had always been the best of friends. As a Jedi, you had the great honor to fight alongside some of the greatest soldiers the Republic had ever known and Echo was one of those soldiers.
The day you were taken was the same day Echo had been taken. It always seemed like you and Echo went through the same things, experienced the same nightmares and trauma.
Going to the Citadel with your older brother, Anakin, and a few of his soldiers, Echo included, you had felt off. Like something was going to go wrong. And when both you and Echo ended up in the explosion, you knew you had been right.
The last thing you remembered was Anakin screaming your name.

As time went on being in Separatist's hands, you began to lose hope anyone would come for you.
There was always a small bit of you that believed Anakin could still feel your presence in the galaxy and would one day find you.
Well, he did find you, but it took him a very long time.
You remembered hearing commotion outside of your door. There were so many voices, but one you recognized almost immediately: Anakin's.
You called to him over and over again, screaming and trying to make as much noise as possible, but no one heard you.
As Echo later recalled to you, Anakin had been directly outside his door, fighting droids when he abruptly stopped and turned towards your room.
He could sense you.
The reunion was sweet but short-lived.
As you were guided back to their ships by Crosshair, you immediately became self-conscious of how you looked.
This clone, well, he was beyond attractive and was making you nervous.
As you began to take in the sight of you, tattered robes, dirty face, dried blood all across your arms, Cross had chuckled, "Nervous cyar'ika?" A smirk plastered to his face.
You responded with silence and blushed deeply.
You liked him and you didn't even know it yet.

Living with Cross had not been easy. He was a confusing man with confusing tendencies and emotions.
You prided yourself in being able to read people almost instantly, but with him you were clueless.
