A/N: Were at #9! And we have 23 more to go!

This one-shot is based on a true story (*cough*cough*mine)  it's all in the past now but I've been feeling a little down about it today and thought it would help by writing it out but anyway, enjoy my pain!

What a peculiar thing being in love is.

It makes you do things, want things, that you have never even thought of.

Being in love is like being on spice; the more you do it, the more you love it.

Without it, you suffer.

You wish for death just to stop the pain.

Being in love with Fox was no different.

You were addicted to him, just as he was to you.

The more you were around each other, the more time you spent with one another, the more you became addicted to one another.

Fortunately, you had yet to experience life without each other, but that was all about to end

Fox had a sweet soul. His confidence and strength impressed you beyond words.

It's what drew you to him.

You had been with Fox for well over six months and those months had been nothing short of magical.

The Republic had recognized and allowed relationships between clones and others and you two were getting close to becoming engaged.

But unbeknownst to you, that would never happen.

Being a pilot for the Republic had its perks.

You were offered opportunities to fly and serve all over the galaxy and you often took up these opportunities as they were short ones.

But with opportunities come obstacles and threats.

Arriving home after a long day, you were greeted by the absence of Fox.

"Hello?" you called out, unsure of where he could be.

"Fox are you home?"

A muffled response came from the kitchen, curious of why he didn't respond when you first called.

Placing your bag and flight helmet in your bedroom quickly, you made your way to the kitchen and saw Fox standing out on the balcony of the attached living room.

Growing more curious, you made your way over to him.

"Hey baby, how was your day?" You called from behind him, taking a seat on one of the chairs outside.

You were met with only a grunt, as he leaned further onto the railing.

"Hey is everything okay?" You asked as you got up to stand next to him.

He sighed and hung his low.

This broke your heart to see. You hated seeing Fox look so sad, no one should ever feel those types of things.

"Hey," you said , placing your hand on his back, you leaned over to take a look at his face but he only turned his face away from you.

"Fox, please tell me what's wrong"

You were slightly becoming agitated but tried to keep your cool because you knew better than to blow up on him, that would only backfire.

"Cyare..." his voice sounded broken, almost like he had been crying.

You rubbed your hand along his back, coaxing him into telling you what was going on.

He started slow, "You have to leave..."
