"Good Morning Pa!",I greeted happily.

"Good Morning baby girl ko". Ayieee,ang cheesy lang ng papa ko. Ang swerte ko naman.

"What's for breakfast?",tanong ko habang sinusurvey ang mesa.

"I made your favorite pancakes!",papa exclaimed in delight.

"Yippee! Thanks pa"I said cheerfully while finding a seat. Tulog pa ata ang mga magagaling kong kuya kasi marami pang pagkain sa mesa.

"Pa,can I ask a question?". I wanted to be sure of something. Ayoko namang magulat siya ng bongga sa gagawin ko mamaya. 

"Wait. May problema ba?",he querried studying my face for a sign.

"Wala naman po. Gusto lang kitang tanungin ng isang tanong. Hypothetical lang naman. Would you mind?".

"Course not. Spill."

I stared at him for a moment gathering my courage. Kung tatanungin ko si papa at least may glimpse na ako ng magiging reaction niya at makakapag-ready din ako if ever mashakira ang beauty niya. Hayy. This is it, pancit!

"Pa...",I started in a low voice. He nodded signaling me to continue. "If ever lang naman po may manligaw sakin,papayag ba kayo?". The moment I finished,he began choking. I rushed at once to his side at iniabot ang tubig. "Pa,okay ka na ba?",I asked worriedly.

"Yes,yes. Thank you",he answered trying to sound fine. "Nak,bakit mo naman natanong 'yan?",he continued.

"Eh di ba nga po hypothetical question lang. Pero di nga pa? Okay lang ba sa inyo kung may manligaw sakin".

He fell silent for a while then he adjusted himself finding his lost voice somewhere.

"Ahem",he started. I don't know but I felt sick. Natatakot ako sa sasabihin papa. "You know,your mom started dating when she was 14. It was such a young age to start being involve in relationships. Her friends thought it was improper but she still continued without even bothering what is there to say about her. Whether it's good or bad. All she knew was that,she was happy and contented. Imagine, she felt that way at such a very young age? Girls like that are hard to come by. Her boyfriend felt so loved and special. He felt he'd never find anyone like her",papa paused for a while allowing himself to drown in my mom's memories. I wanted to act curious but sadly,I'm not a very good actress once talking to papa. Know why? Cause I've heard of this story for as many times as I can remember. Yung feeling na paulit ulit nalang yung kwento niya at memorize mo na lahat from beginning to end,tapos kailangan mo pa ring makinig kasi feel na feel niya. Ayaw mo namang maging panira ng moment. Hayy. Ang hirap pag masyadong sentimental ang tatay. 

"Pa..",I called disorienting him from his thoughts.

"Ow. Sorry. What I'm trying to imply here is,okay lang sakin na magkaboyfriend ka. Hindi natin alam, maging katulad din ang love story mo sa mama mo. She found me when she was 14, got married after years of dating and God has gifted us with five wonderful children. So you see,who knows if you'll find yours earlier than expected. So go on. Ang pagkakaroon ng boyfriend ng isang babae para sa akin ay simbolo na she's mature enough and she's more than ready to cultivate a part of hers to others.",he finished then took a sip of his coffee.
