We Started Off So Well

We started off so well,

Now I'm not sure where we're headed,

We began on a freeway,

Till we hit a speed bump,

Now we're at an all time low,

We don't speak like we used to,

Maybe it's just my phone,

"I damn sure miss you,"

The times I said that is twenty four,

Does it ever get to the ear or is it blown by

the wind?

We had two and you were half so that

makes you one wing,

I don't know if you see this but without you

I can't win,

I have this big fight against gravity and we

both know how that ends,

Please come back when you're done,

Because we started off too well.

I felt so good when I was with you,

Now you're more distant than a dirty tissue,

Please can we sort this issue?

Life's short and I can't afford to miss you,

Stand by me, and push away that needle,

Or razor, or whatever,

I want to hurt myself,

But because of you,

I'll try to keep my cool,

Hard as it can be,

I believe in me,

Let us wait and see,

Hopefully it's done physically,

Because we started off too well.

This all now feels like the haziest of

dreams,

But who am I to say, I'm an unplanned scheme,

That happens to be right under the beam,

Someone help me out,

I'm drowning in this feel,

And I cannot hold still,

What's the point in fighting,

When I know I can't win,

I'm the only one in,

You can't fly with one wing.

A tear drips down my face,

I know I can't do this but still I really want to,

You can't stop a moving train, can you?

Not when it has no brakes, you can't,

It never was this way,

Because we started off too well.
