The air contained some sort of discomfort that lingered all around you. The view of the place you always arrived at was no different and it no longer felt the same.

You wandered around the buildings of fresh coat of white that you've worked in for the past 5 years, marking your eyes on every crevice you could possibly lay your eyes on as this would be the last time you would do so.

You wouldn't say you had friends, but you did have wonderful conversations with everyone that worked at the company. You tried to visit all the other branches, but there were too many for you, prioritizing more on your work in London.

Although you'd think the CEO would have a popularity in its position, you were different. You were someone who cared less for that. You wanted to get along with people but you didn't feel like the need to get to know them as friends. Some would call you their friends but they certainly weren't yours.

Yea you took some time to get to know your coworkers and employees and have good chats with them, but you never actually let it go past a boundary that you haven't crossed in a while.

You were just simply the type to not want any friends. You weren't always like this however. It's just that so many people betrayed you in the past and at this point it was hard to trust anyone. You knew you'd get lonely but it would atleast save you from being hurt again by people who cared less than you did for them.

As you wandered more around through the cafeteria, you noticed your assistant already walking towards you.

"Hey, Y/n" His voice had a small squeak as he walked over to you with a small sympathetic smile. You weren't the only one loosing your job, everyone at corporate was. Atleast the other branches are safe, for now.

"How are you doing, with the whole...thing?" He asked gently as his feet shifted from side to side.

You didn't even want to think about that right now. All you wanted to do was relish these last moments in this wonderful company before you had to find a job somewhere else that fits your position and get accustomed to that one.

You hummed, keeping a straight face, not daring to look him in the eyes.

Will was a young one, a few years below your age. He was your assistant and he was a really good one. He was able to assist you during any crisis in the company and adapt to any inconvenient situations. He caused absolutely no havocs and was a kind man. But after he'd made his move on you a few months ago, you've felt uncomfortable around him ever since. He'd always give you those eyes that tore the insides of your comfort and even though you'd already told him to stop, he just couldn't. You knew that, which was one good thing about leaving the company.

"I'll be okay, how about you?" You asked, giving him a two second eye contact before shifting your gaze over to the windows that overlooked the whole view of London.
