Creeping in your silence was the demons eating away at your anxiety, making sure to make you crumle and fall apart every step you took towards the building you officially were employed at.

You've been quite silent throughout the day so far, and even Daisy noticed it too as you usually greeted her with enough light in your tone and expressions. Just enough to let anyone know that you were actually feeling okay. She noticed but didn't question it as bad days happen to everyone. More often than anyone thinks, unfortunately.

After walking straight out of the elevator to your floor, you settled down into your private and luckily enclosed office, taking your coat off with a gentle shrug. Mr Holland must've heard you come in already as his presence could be felt just from the simple knock on his hand on your door.

"Morning, Sir"

You were really getting sick of these monotonous greetings with him.

"Morning," He walked straight in with his coffee in hand, motioning for you to sit with him in your mini lounge area.

It was always exciting when he'd offer something different that you haven't seen him do yet. Even him just offering a conversation on your lounge was enough to make things less boring. It was only exciting because he'd been so dull and the same all the time. It's nice to feel a little difference in a day, even if it's a small thing.

He still hasn't changed that same expressionless face as he got comfy on a single sofa, sipping his coffee in hand. You didn't dare look back at him yet as you could feel his eyes on you. You couldn't tell where or why he was staring at you more than any human should stare at someone, but he was probably judging you, which is what you always assumed anyway.

He was glad you took a glance out of the view from your window so he could have time to check if you had kept up with correcting your makeup and shoes. Once he ticked the right boxes in his mind, he didn't find himself glancing at you for a second time. Your hair that you didn't bother to style, still managed to look decent, your blouse that was a little see through was letting him know the colour of your bra and those sheer black stockings that complimented your skirt and shoes perfectly, weren't an issue. Although your hair was a mess and your makeup hadn't been done that morning, he was quite satisfied with your appearance as he was surprised you managed to pull off such a look with your effortless try of piecing an outfit for the day. He was once again annoyed at you just by, simply being you.

After a nice enough amount of silence, he finally spoke.

"Here is one of my debit cards," Leaning over the edge of his seat, he placed a card down as you finally turned your head towards him, making him see more of your face. "You are to use it to get me coffee every morning. I don't mind the coffee here, but I do prefer my favourite coffee shops until I am able to build a good one at this company. You can also pay for your gas to travel to the shops or any extra errands I inform you to do before arriving for work, I'll let you know which shop I'll prefer every morning and the usuals I get. Your time will vary depending on your travel. If I give you extra errands, that counts as you starting off for work that day." He rambled.

Tom saw a little exhaustion in the way your eyes blinked or the slow nod of your head. Being a previous actor comes with that nature of being aware. But not always in his case since he brushes it off, not caring about it as much as he used to.
He assumed you were upset.

Of course you were, especially what happened at your second job, and Tom making you feel so exposed by robbing you of the one thing you felt comfortable hiding behind at, during your days there. But he wouldn't have a clue.

"But if you are caught using it for yourself other than gas, you won't be having a nice time with me," He sat back up.
"Alright?"

"Of course, Sir"
