"Hey, Buck!" Briar whisper-shouted to her best friend. He moaned out something but Briar couldn't interpret it. She tried again and he yawned in response and waved her off. Briar pouted and poked him on his arm.

"Buck," she sang softly in his ear. Her other hand was stroking his hair and Bucky's grin widened but Briar didn't notice it.

No reply.

She raised her hand, about to slap him awake but he pulled her down by yanking her raised arm. She landed on top of him with an annoyed look on her face.

"What?" he grinned, childishly.

Briar hissed as she felt more pain in her stomach. She was on her period but didn't want Bucky to know. Sure, they were close friends but she thought it would make it awkward. Bucky's grin faltered as he saw Briar hold on to her stomach. He helped her get off of him. "Everything alright, Bree?" he asked, softly.

"Yup," Briar forced a smile.

"Want me to get you anything?" Bucky's eyes trailed from off her lips to their kitchen which was merely a few feet away.

He twisted her long, black hair. Briar looked at his fingers which played with her hair. He was the reason she didn't need any hair curlers. He loved playing with her hair so much that it was wavy enough as is. Briar watched him twist a few strands of her hair and he acted like he had a mustache. "Like it?" he arched an eyebrow.

"I hate facial hair on you," Briar frowned and ruffled his hair. He let go of her hair.

"Some food would be nice," Briar answered his previous questions as she laid back down on her couch.

"Only if you ask nicely."

"Oh, James Buchanan Barnes, you are so wonderful, so talented, and might I say- so stunning!" Briar held her hands out for dramatic effects.

Bucky- who knew she was on her time of month- was glad he was able to get her mind off the cramps. He was a little upset Briar never told him she experienced terrible cramps- but knew it was personal at the same time. "Well, if you put it like that," he chuckled as he got up and headed to the kitchen.

"Serum?" Sydd stuck her hand out. Briar looked at her perfectly manicured hands. They were painted pink and yellow. It was strange she worked for such an evil organization but had the nails of royalty.

Briar scoffed and tossed her the black briefcase. It had a lock on it so Briar didn't bother checking what was inside.

"What's it for?" she finally asked once Sydd was able to get it open.

"Nothing for you to know about," Sydd replied.

"I got it so I believe I have a right to know," Briar protested. She kept her cool by pinching herself just hard enough. Sydd didn't notice and simply ignored her. Neither one of them was aware of the trouble Briar could cause with her newfound powers.

Except for Baron Zemo. He had developed the idea for the Lennox. It was his idea to create a better-improved version of the Winter Soldier. He had been observing Briar for the longest time and knew she was capable of handling the powers- and whatever tasks HYDRA threw at her.

"Let the girl hear. After all, she did get the serum," Baron announced. Everyone working at the lab turned around and nodded their greetings. Baron pointed at the door and every scientist or worker left, leaving Briar and Sydd along with Baron.
