—Rose's POV—
I entered my room and saw a beautiful yet simple dress on my bed. Today was the worst day of the year. The fear of hearing my name was there, the fear of hearing the name of someone we love was there too
I quickly put my dress on and went to kitchen, to ask my mom if she could help me with my hair. When I got there I saw both, my mom and my brother
"You are so beautiful, my Rose" my mom said as I went close to her
"Thanks mom, can you please help me with my hair?" I asked and she nodded
We stayed in silence for awhile until my little brother spoke
"I'm scared" he said looking down
I put my hand on his chin so he could look at my eyes
"It's ok to be scared, it make us feel alive. We have to use that fear and turn it into our strength" I said and he hugged me. He took something out of his pocket
"Here, it's not a big thing but I thought it was so pretty" he said while giving me the red rose
"It's beautiful, Peter. Thank you" I smiled at him
"Ok princess, it's done" my mom said. I looked at the mirror and saw that she put my hair in a ponytail
"There's something missing" she said then looked at my hand where the Rose stood
She took the Rose from my hand and put it on my hair
"Now you are ready"
"Thanks mom" I said and kissed her forehead
She gave both of her hands to us and we instantly interlock our fingers with hers
"We will do this together"
We got out of our small house and start walking through our district. People didn't held any emotion, it's like they were just living. Then I saw a girl, she was so nervous, this must be probably her first time in here. She seemed like she was lost. I decided to approach her
"Hey princess, what's your name?" I asked
"Emily-y"
I took her hand in mine. She seemed to relax a little
"My name is Rose and there's no need to be scared Emily, everything will be ok" I said and kissed her forehead "Now, where's your mother?"
"I lost her in the crowd"
"It's ok, come on i will help you"
I looked at my mom and she nodded while giving me a kiss on my forehead
"See you two after"
Me and the girl start walking to the lines. Out of nowhere, she stopped and stayed there in shock. I got on my knees so I could be in the same height as hers
