—Rose's POV—

I woke up by screams coming from the other tributes. When I opened my eyes it still was night. I saw that it was raining really hard

I took off my hood and looked at the sky. When the water touched my face, I screamed. I quickly got out of the tree and start running

One canon was heard. My face, my hands and my legs had burning marks. I try to run but I didn't had the strength anymore

I fell on the floor and my eyes start closing. Am I going to die like this?

It then came to my mind Lily's words. Never take your coat off

I looked down and saw that the parts were my coat was protecting were not damaged. I put my hood on again and my hands in my pockets. Immediately the pain start going away and I got up. The pain still was there but was not that intense anymore

As I start walking again I saw a cave. I entered it and put my body against the wall. I looked at my hands and saw big bubbles. It was gross. I couldn't feel my legs

I heard a noise and I saw a parachute coming close to me. I opened it and saw a ointment with a note

"You are almost there. Be careful the dark can be dangerous- J"

I smiled and start putting the ointment on my hands, in seconds the burning sensation was over and the bubbles start disappearing. I put it on the parts that were burning and when I was finished I didn't felt pain anymore

"Thanks Josh" I whispered

I closed my eyes and put my head against the wall

"Do not move" I heard but instantly knew who that voice belongs to

"Emory" I said

She quickly hugged me and start crying

"I was so scared, Rose" she said and I kissed her hair

"No need to be scared princess, you are ok now" I said still hugging her tightly

She helped me getting up and I looked around

"Are you in here for a long time?" I asked

She nodded

"I came in here before it got dark" she said and I smiled relieved that she wasn't on the rain

"Did you found any water?"

"No, I try but I couldn't find it"

That is a problem. That is a big problem. We start walking and I was making sure that she was close to me.

We start hearing drops falling. I went close to the sound and saw drops of water getting out of the wall. It was not much but it still was water

We got close to it and looked at each other. I was not sure if this one was good to drink. Either way we did. It must be the most stupid decision of my life but we needed to drink.
