—Rose's POV—

I was sitting in front of a mini garden. I loved it because it was so similar to mine at home. The roses were beautiful

"It was your mother who planted them" Someone said scaring me

"I'm sorry I didn't wanted to scare you" Finnick said sitting by my side

"It's ok"

We stayed in silence just appreciating each other's company. I heard Finnick taking a deep breath and then getting up. He puts himself on his knee and took a box out of his pocket. I put my hand in my mouth, surprise by this

"I was planning to do this a while ago but I wanted to give you time" he said and I instantly smiled

"Since the first time that I saw you, I knew that you were special. You had this thing that made me want to be by your side. I knew back then that I needed to do everything to make sure that you would get out of that arena alive. You survived. You made everyone that ever doubted you eat their words. After your games, I thought that you would be sad and that you would change, but again you proved me that you are different. So, I fell in love. I fell in love for this beautiful, strong, independent, intelligent and generous girl. A girl that now is the woman that I want to grow old with. I love you more and more every day. I can't live without you because I know that, if something happens to you, a part of me will go. If something happens to you, I will never feel complete again"

I was crying so much that I was afraid that I had no tears anymore

"Unfortunately, life it's not always fair and........I had to let you go. I know that I own you a explanation about that and i will talk to you. I'm ready now"

I nodded. He doesn't know yet that Snow told me the whole story. I didn't had the stomach to talk with him about this. I knew that it was a hard matter for him, so I decided to wait

"When, Haymitch and Plutarch, told me that you were taken by the Capitol, I thought that......I thought that I had lost you forever. The true is.......I love you. I loved you back then, I love you now and I will love you forever. So, now here I am, on my knees, ready to ask the most beautiful woman on this earth, if she wants to spend eternity with me. So, Rose Elizabeth Roberts, will you marry me?"

He opened the box and there stood a beautiful engagement ring

"You know that technically we were already engaged, don't you?" I asked remember the fake engagement

He laughed

"I didn't asked you properly back then"

I smiled and also put myself on my knees, right in front of him

"I love you, so yes I will marry the most handsome, smart, kind and lovely man on this earth" I said and kissed him

"We are getting married" he whispered
