Leila's POV
Today was the first day of school and I decided to stay the night at mom's since we got home late because of the deer incident. I quickly changed and got ready for school.
Once I was ready, I went to Scott's room and leaned on the doorway. I saw him looking sadly at his arm. "What's your word of the day?" I asked.
"Ephemeral" he pouted, making me giggle.
"It's not funny" he told me as I tried to stop giggling.
"You gotta admit, it's a little funny" I told him and he rolled his eyes at me. "I'll see you at school" I told him and started walking downstairs as I heard him yell a bye.
I grabbed an apple and a water before leaving. I decided to grab a coffee from the coffee shop before driving to school. I got there the same time Scott did.
I walked over to him and noticed two nice black motorcycles next to his. I've never seen those before. Stiles came over to us as well and we walked inside.
We started talking about Scott's tattoo when he came up with an idea. "You wanna ask Derek for help? Why, why?" Stiles asked.
"That's actually not a bad idea. He's got the triskelee tattooed on his back" I told them.
Scott nodded, "So, there has to be a way to do it without healing, right?"
"Okay, yeah, but still, doesn't he have his hands a little full?" Stiles said, gesturing to Boyd and Erica's missing person fliers that are on the bulletin board.
We were passing the principal's office when we heard the principal, "Look, these are the applications for the career advisor. I need them sorted. And whatever happened to the library while I was gone, I want it cleared up. And what the hell is this?" he said, lifting up Gerard's sword.
"Go, go, go" Stiles told us as we quickly walked away and went to English class.
I walked in and sat in front of Stiles as Scott sat next to him. Lydia and Allison came in as everyone was in their seats.
Lydia sat next to Stiles and the only available seat for Allison was next to me and in front of Scott. Lucky me.
She looked between us before walking towards the empty seat, "Is someone..." she trailed off, gesturing to the seat.
I shook my head and pulled out my phone to text Derek to see if Isaac ever came back last night. He told me Isaac went to follow a lead and that's the last I've heard.
"No, no, no, no. No, it's all you, all yours. Uh, it's totally vacant" Scott rambled nervously, making Stiles and I look at him as Stiles gave him a thumbs up.
Suddenly, my phone vibrated along with everyone else's. I pulled out my phone and read the text I got from.
"The offing was barred by a black bank of clouds and the tranquil waterway, leading to the uttermost ends of the earth flowed somber under an overcast sky, seemed to lead into the heart of an immense darkness" the new English teacher read as she walked in.
