Leila's POV

I finally made it to the bank and ran towards the front doors. I waved both my hands and the doors were thrown open. I quickly ran inside and looked for my brother and mate.

"Scotty! Derek!" I called out.

I ran down a hall and saw someone carrying something. It was Derek and he was carrying Erica. I froze at the sight of her. She really was dead. Derek looked at me and I could feel his guilt and sadness.

"W-Where's Scott?" I asked.

He nodded in a direction and started walking as I followed him. We were walking towards the vault where I saw Scott talking to Allison. They looked at us and saw Erica's body.

"Where's Boyd and Cora?" I asked them.

"They're gone. We need to find them before they kill someone" Scott said.

After that, we left the bank and headed towards Beacon Hills Preserve to look for Boyd and Cora. Scott and I went together to look for Boyd and Derek went to look for Cora.

Scott and I were following Boyd's footprints and Scott was following his scent, "So, why was Allison there?" I asked.

"I don't know, but when she got there she heard the fighting. She saw what was happening and wanted to help, so she broke the Mountain Ash seal and let Boyd and Cora out" Scott told me.

"What were you guys talking about before Derek and I walked over?" I asked.

"I told her about her mom and how she tried to kill us. I told her why I didn't tell her the truth" Scott told me.

"And why didn't you?" I asked curiously.

He sighed, "I didn't want that to be the last memory she had of her mom."

I was about to say something when we both heard a little boy scream. We looked at each other before taking off into the direction of where the scream came from.

"Billy?" I heard a little girl call out and that made me worry more. Two kids were out here with a giant out of control werewolf.

Then we heard growling and metal scraping. When we got there, we saw Boyd lifting up a shed where two kids were holding each other in fear as they started screaming.

"I'll distract Boyd, you grab them" I told Scott and he nodded as we saw Boyd throw the shed and growl at the kids.

I said an incantation and made glowing purple and blue butterflies fly around Boyd which distracted him and gave Scott enough time to grab the kids.

I ran towards Scott as I grabbed the little boy's hand and we ran away from Boyd, who was still trying to claw at the butterflies.

Once we were far away from Boyd, we stopped running and let the kids catch their breaths.

"I'm gonna call Derek" Scott told me as the little boy hugged me tightly in fear as his sister held onto Scott's arm.

Scott called Derek and told him what happened. I moved closer to hear what Derek was saying, "You lost him?" Derek asked.

"Yeah, we kind of had to" Scott told him.

"Wasn't exactly the plan" Derek said.

"I know, which is why I think that we should stick together. Trust me, he's too strong, too fast, and way too angry for just Leila and I to handle. We've got to do this together" Scott told him.

"Look, I'm at the trails by the entrance to the preserve. Can you and Leila meet me here?" Derek asked.

"Yeah. We just have to drop something off first" Scott told Derek, looking between the two kids.
