Leila's POV:

Derek threw a tray to the floor and went to attack her but was held back by Mateo and Scott. "Derek, wait!" Mateo said.

"She was trying to get out" Derek glared at her.

"I was trying to keep from getting killed. You can't blame me for that" she told him.

"If you want to show you're one of the good guys, then heal her" Stiles reasoned, pointing to Cora.

"Not until I'm safe" she told him.

"I'd like to volunteer a different method of persuasion" Peter suggested, "Let's torture her."

"Works for me" Derek agreed and took a step towards Ms. Blake, but this time I stopped him by putting a hand on his chest.

Suddenly the P.A. system made a noise before we all heard a voice. "Um, can I have your attention?" my hand dropped from Derek's chest as Scott and I looked at the speaker, listening to Mom's voice.

"Mr. Deucalion-- excuse me, just Deucalion-- requests you bring the woman calling herself Jennifer Blake to the E.R. Reception" Mom announced as Derek put his hand on my back to comfort me, "Do this, and everyone else can leave. You have ten minutes."

The P.A. system turned off as I felt my body grow heavy. Deucalion had Mom. I looked at Scott, who was also deep in thought.

"He's not gonna hurt her" Ms. Blake told us.

"Shut up!" Derek and Mateo told her.

"He won't!" she exclaimed at them, before looking at Scott, "Scott, you know why. Tell them it's true."

I looked down, knowing what she was talking about before looking at Scott, who stayed quiet. "What does she mean?" Derek asked Scott.

Ms. Blake rolled her eyes, "You're not the only one he wants in his pack."

"Deucalion doesn't just want an alpha pack. He wants perfection" she explained, "That means adding the rarest of alphas to his ranks."

"A true alpha" I told Derek.

"What's that?" Stiles asked me.

"The kind that doesn't have to steal his power from another," I explained as Scott looked at me, "One that can rise by the force of his own will."

"You knew?" Scott asked me. I smiled, "I had a feeling. That night of my accident, I saw your eyes turn red and I knew."

"Our little Scott" Peter commented quietly.

Scott turned to him, "It doesn't matter." Then he turned to Ms. Blake, "We still need to get her out of here."

Stiles walked over, "Scott, your mom--" Scott cut him off, "My mom said there's one more ambulance coming in 20 minutes. And I don't think we've been here that long, so if we can get down to the garage, get to the last ambulance, we can get out of here."

"The twins aren't gonna let us just walk out" Peter added.

"I'll distract them" Scott answered.

"You mean fight them" Derek corrected.

"Whatever I have to do" Scott told him. Derek and Scott shared a look, "I'll help you."

"Um, sorry, but I'm not going anywhere without you, Derek" Ms. Blake interjected, making me roll my eyes.

"I'll do it" Mateo jumped in, making him and Scott nod at each other.

"Me too, but I'd prefer to be out there with an advantage" Peter told us.
