3rd POV
Ms. Blake was walking down the hallway before school when she heard a door slam shut. She turned to see if someone was there, but saw no one.
She continued down the hall towards her classroom, but kept feeling paranoid. She quickly ran into her classroom and closed the door.
She sighed before turning around and screamed at the sight of Derek standing there. She quickly grabbed her teaching stick as a weapon.
"What do you want? You gonna threaten me? Tell me that no one's gonna believe me? Try to scare me? Kill me?" she asked fearfully.
Derek just looked at her, "I was gonna see if you were okay. But I'm also making sure, you're not going to say anything about what or who you saw."
Derek was more concerned about Ms. Blake telling people about Leila, Boyd, and Cora than making sure she was okay.
He needed to make sure that no one found out about what happened that night otherwise it could put his mate, his sister, and his beta in more danger.
"Physically or emotionally? Although I guess that presupposes I was emotionally okay before any of this. And according to my therapist, I- it's been debatable for a long time" she told him and he raised an eyebrow at her.
"I think you're gonna be okay as long as you don't tell anyone what you saw" he told her before walking towards the door and was about to leave.
"Obviously, you've never taught high school. In 20 minutes, I have to start two dozen teenagers on The Crucible, and I honestly have no idea what I'm gonna say" she said, trying to talk to him more.
Derek turned to her slightly, "Well, why don't you start by telling them that it's an allegory for mccarthyism?"
Ms. Blake smiled, liking him even more, "You know your literature?"
"My girlfriend does. She loves books" Derek said, smiling at the thought of Leila and how he would watch her expressions when she would read.
She would bite her lip when she would get to a good part, pout at a sad part, or scrunch her nose a bit at a part she didn't like.
Ms. Blake's smile instantly fell when he said he had a girlfriend. 'Maybe, they're not that serious' she thought.
Derek turned around again and was about to walk out, "Who are you?" Miss Blake asked, wanting to know the name of the mysterious good looking guy.
He turned his head slightly, "Derek" he said before opening the door and leaving.
"Jennifer" Derek heard her exclaim as he continued walking down the hall.
He didn't really care what her name was, and he wasn't planning to see her again.
Leila's POV
When I woke up this morning, I didn't feel Derek next to me. I got up and went to take a shower before changing into my outfit.
