From there on there was only a few days left of the two boys being reunited, soon George would return back home and Clay would stay where he is now. They've been together for three days and only two full days remained, this time would be the days that are most appreciated and maybe a few things will be figured out.
jump, splash, jump
Two boys ran through the empty streets splashing in every puddle that was in reach, completely forgetting about their adult responsibilities.
"My god!! This is way better than the storms back at home!" The dark haired boy yelled.
"You really think so???" The ashen haired boy asked.
The storm settled in about an hour ago which instantly sparked interest in the boys. They grabbed some old rain boots from the closet and ran outside like the storm was going to suddenly grow feet and run away.
"Clay?!" The dark haired boy yelled over the wing.
"Yeah George??"
"We should have done this sooner!!!"
After a while the rain finally calmed and the boys were to worn out to continue jumping around, so they agreed to head inside.

"Oh my god! It's been so long since i've been outside in the rain!" I said.
"Same with me! I haven't done that since we were kids....Now let's get dried off before we die of pneumonia or something" Clay responded.
By the time we were finally dry the sun had already begun to set and we made our way over to the couch and let whatever tv show was on run in the background of us talking.
"Soooo.." I started, "two more days left, if you include today...."
"So tomorrow's your last full day...."
"Yeah...."
Great going George! Bringing up the depressing topic!
"You know what that means?" Clay asks.
"What?"
"We'll just have to make tomorrow worth it."
I look at him with widened eyes and give a slight smile.
"I guess we will."

The couch was cozy...Almost to cozy....
I knew it was time to get up by my gut instinct but honestly? I didn't want to.
But today was the last day, and like Clay said, we have to make it worth it.
So I reluctantly pushed myself to sit up and adjusted my eyes to the light.
So that's why I didn't feel like getting up..
I looked over to see Clay was laying right next to me, his bed head yet again covering his face and his legs sprawled out taking up almost all of the room on the couch.
I started to slowly shake his shoulders, but that didn't seem to work. Then I attempted to rip the blanket off of him but that didn't work either.
At this point I new what I had to do, but because of the consequences that might occur, I don't know if I have the strength to do it.
After a few moments of contemplation I finally mustered up the courage and pulled on Clays arms which resulted in him falling off the couch.
It was definitely a sight to see.
After he fell his head was basically moving at 100 mph looking for what might have been the cause of his fall, but finally his eyes landed on me. (and let me say, he did not look like the happiest person in the world)
"Did you just-"
"I did."
"Oh you little prick!"
The next few seconds went by in a blur.
One moment I was standing still and the next I was running around his apartment for my dear life with Clay on my tail.
"LISTEN I TRIED BUT NOTHING ELSE WOKE YOU UP!!!!"
"SO YOU PUSH ME OFF????"
"LOOK IT TOOK COURAGE TO DO THAT!"
By the time we made a full circle around his house I came to a sudden halt and held up my hands.
"Listen, please..." I say between breaths "Go...get changed..."
"Why should I?" He asked
"It's our last full day together and I would rather not spend it getting attacked by you"
At that claim he seemed to tense up and pause, like the realization finally hit him.
"It is the last day....isn't it?"
"Yeah! Now please, go get dressed"
As I watched him walk back into his room I sat down on the couch and waited.
It all went by so fast....
I have to make it worth it.
As I finished my thoughts I saw Clay walk back out wearing his black jeans, a grey shirt, and jacket.
"You ready?" He asked.
"Of course I am," I hold the door open "After you"
And just like that, our last day began.
