Chapter 5

The both of them woke up the next morning still in each other's arms. Regulus looks up at James, who was smiling at him. "Might want to change before going down for breakfast" he winks before getting up and walking out the room, probably off to Sirius's room.

Regulus was confused for a moment before he looked down and saw the Gryffindor jumper he had on. "Damn it" he mumbles to himself before quickly taking it off. He reaches into his bag and takes out a jumper of his own. He looked down at the Gryffindor jumper before folding it up and setting it down on his bed. Regulus then went downstairs to meet up with the Potter family.

"Hope you like eggs and sausage Regulus. I wasn't sure what you liked so if you don't eat meat, eat as many eggs as you'd like." Mrs.Potter smiles at the boy when she notices him. Mr.Potter nods his head in greeting as he reads the Daily Prophet and Sirius did the small smile before continuing to pig out at the breakfast table. James smiled at him with a gaze that he'd never seen before. It was...different seeing James after the night before. And this morning.

"Pescatarian actually. But thank you Mrs.Potter." Regulus says politely before placing some eggs on his plate, glad that she had made enough scrambled eggs. He sat next to Sirius, which was a seat with James across the table. He avoided eye contact with him and could tell that he was trying to meet his eyes.

So Regulus ate his eggs before excusing himself and placing his dish in the sink. He'd leave the washing to someone who knew what they were doing. He thanked Mrs.Potter for the meal once again before going upstairs and to his shared room with James. He opened the expandable bag and searched around for a book that would be interesting enough to stop his thoughts. His wandering hands found 'Carry On' by Rainbow Rowell. An interesting choice indeed.

It was a book that had a word similar to his own. Wizards, witches, dragons, the whole shabang. Regulus had required this said book from a friend of his that mysteriously disappeared. They said they'd be back in the future at least. Whatever that means.

So he sat down on his bed, holding the book. He went to the last place he had a bookmark and started to read.

Okay so listen, I will be adding myself into this fanfic. The person mentioned earlier with the Carry On book (lovely book btw, definitely recommend) was me using a time turner to go back in time and give Regulus books. And I may or may not be shipped with Lily. Mostly because Evan Evans sounds hilarious for when we get married.
