The Wrong Party

Unexpected/Competition

"Are you guys going to be okay today?" Jin asked as we sat at my table together waiting for Reina to arrive 

"Yeah" I nodded "in the last two months, we've hardly spoken about anything besides the kids. But, I've gone to Tae's a lot and she's even come here. She doesn't want me to miss anything when it comes to the babies"

"Has she found a job yet?"

"She has" I nodded and let out a sigh "I wish she hadn't though. Is that wrong of me?" 

"No" he shook his head 

"I really miss her" I stared down at the table 

"I kn-"

"Hey" Reina announced as she walked in the door holding a bunch of bags on her arms

"Hey. Need help?" I asked as I stood up 

"No, I'm okay" she panted as she put all the bags down on the floor "Tae and Joonie have the twins so we can set up everything. They'll bring them over once we're ready" 

"Joonie? Like Tae's cousin?" Jin asked 

"Yeah, he's also my boss at the moment" she nodded, Jin gave me a look that I couldn't decipher as I started to pull out the streamers and balloons "did you order the food?"

"Yeah, it'll be here in an hour" I nodded "did you get the cake?"

"I did" she nodded as she grabbed a chair to stand on as she began hanging the decorations. "Jimin is picking it up on his way over. Honestly he should be here soon, when I texted him earlier he said he'd be early" 

I tend to forget that she has my friends phone numbers. It's not surprising though considering she's known them all for over two years and spent a lot of time with them. Especially when she was pregnant. They wouldn't leave her alone. 

"I feel like we overdid it" she giggled as we looked around my house 

"It's their first birthday, we're supposed to over do it" I chuckled beside her 

"The presents are in your room?"

"Yeah" 

"I'll go get them then" she walked away and Jin looked over at me, making sure she was out of earshot before opening his mouth

"Namjoon is a manwhore" 

"What?" 

"I wouldn't trust him around her if you want to get back together" 

"Why are you telling me this?" I shook my head 

"Because I want you to know when you meet him that you should keep an eye out on the way he talks to her" 

"Hey guys! Cake has arrived!" Jimin announced as he walked in the door, our conversation ended there as Jimin sat the cake on the counter and Reina came back from our room with the gifts

"Thanks Jimin" she smiled as he hugged her and pecked her cheek 

"Of course! Where are the birthday twins?"

"With Tae and his cousin, they'll be here soon. We're still waiting on everyone else" 

"Did you grab their crowns while you were in our room?"

"I didn't see them in there" she shook her head "I can go check your room again though" 

My chest tightened. I purposely still call it our room. She seems set on not calling it our room. I nodded and watched her walk away again
