It took less than fifteen minutes to gather all the warriors and head out. We strapped on our special packs holding our weapons and a change of clothes than shifted into our wolves since running in wolf form would be the fastest route. The packs were specially made to stretch to accommodate our growth when shifting.

When we are about thirty minutes out from the White River pack boarder Vala my wolf begins to pick up speed. I can feel the excitement and overflowing emotions surge through our mind as she runs faster to get there.

"What's going on Vala, your emotions are all over the place." I ask her. She has never acted this way before.

"I don't know I just feel something, something really good." She yips back.

"About the fight with the rogues?" I ask again still confused by her sudden bout of excitement. We both enjoy fighting but not to the point of excitement. I hate killing wolves even if they are evil.

"No, something else." Vala says as she picks up speed again.

We arrive a short ten minutes later and the sight before us sends shock waves through our minds. Hundreds of wolves are before us fighting, many of the wolves are still in human form. The sounds of skin tearing and bodies being slammed into each other can be heard all around.

"Ari there must be over one hundred rogues here!" Lena voice rings in my head as her caramel colored wolf steps to my right. "What do we do?"

"We fight. It looks like the Crescent Moon pack is already here. Russ run back to Blue Mountain, tell Alpha Dom what is happening." I quickly mind link one of the younger warriors.

"Yes Ariella." He nods in my direction than quickly turns and takes off back from where we came.

We waste no time and head into the center of the fight. Vala quickly takes out three rogues but continues to run past others.

"Vala what are you doing we need to fight. Why are you heading this way?" I yell in frustration at her.

"I don't know something is telling me we need to go this way." She snaps back.

Before I can respond two rogues jump out in front of us causing Vala's paws to skid to a stop in the rough dirt. As the dirt settles back to the earth from which it came Vala is in a defensive position and ready to fight.

The rogue on our left bares his rotting yellow teeth and quickly lunges forward aiming for my throat. I slide to the right dodging his attack. As he passes, I catch his back leg and bite down hard earning a load yelp from him. Just as I lunge for his throat, I'm slammed to ground by the second rogue.

Vala lets out a ferocious growl and latches onto his neck tearing his throat from his body in one jerk. I feel his rotting crimson blood coating our sliver fur. Vala kicks the lifeless body off than makes quick work with the other, ripping out his throat next.

Vala waste no time and begins running in the same direction as earlier.

"Vala shift back, you are too distracted. We can't fight like this." I attempt to pull myself forward but Vala resists it. "Vala let me forward." I command her.

Vala lets out a frustrated growl knowing I'm right and runs off behind a large tree to the side of the fight. I shift back and quickly pull my clothes on. Pulling out my throwing knives I let one fly as a rogue darts my way. It cuts straight through his chest piercing his heart. His lifeless body falls skidding to the ground in front of me.

Taking out my steel blade I work my way back through the fight. As I get to the center the most amazing and tantalizing smell of fresh rain and pine trees penetrates my nose. I'm confused for a moment noting the clear blue sky above has but a single lonely cloud hanging in the balance. Not one thought of moisture in its mists.
