Chapter 6: Like A Child

Elise Campbell, wife of Nelson Campbell and mother to Trinity and Minnie Campbell. She is a woman most people pass by, and many forget when they do meet her. She doesn't consider herself desirable or that interesting. For years she's played her part as mother and wife. Today is different. The day started with the Campbell family's usual routine, but inside of the mother, she knew this evening would be very different.

When Elise Campbell leaves the house today, she doesn't go to work as planned, although she is dressed in her uniform. She puts on the song "Ghost Inside My Heart" by Issa as she drives through her town. The town she has felt trapped in for so long. For so many years she has not felt the excitement in her heart that she's felt this past week. None more so than right now, as she makes her way to meet Holden Bennet at a motel twenty minutes from her house.

Elise has already called off work using her job's app on her phone, so she won't have to worry about losing her job for her absence. The only thing that could give her away is if Nelson and the girls go shopping at her job. Even though it would be suspicious, if someone says Elise isn't working today, she already plans to say she was on break and the person who said that doesn't know what they are talking about. Although she is extremely nervous, she feels happy. It's as if everything is going right for her. It's as if she was trapped for years, and now she is free to live again.

Holden spots Elise pull into the parking lot and a smile comes to his face as he watches her park. He calls her on Facebook Messenger.

Holden: I see you.

Elise: Where?

Holden: I'll get out of my car and then you should be able to see me.

He steps out of his car.

Holden: I'll get us the room and then go get you at your car.

Elise: Ok.

Holden ends the call, pays for the room, gets the key, and when he turns to his right, Elise is already there with a big smile on her face and love in her eyes.

Holden: Hello, gorgeous.

Elise: Hey, you.

They embrace with a hug and Elise moans the moment their bodies come together.

Elise: I'm so nervous, but I'm so happy to see you.

Holden holds Elise by her face and looks into her eyes.

Holden: You don't know how happy I am that you came.

Elise: Surprised?

Holden: Kind of. It was like I knew you'd be here, but at the same time I kept saying "What if?" in my mind.

Elise: What if I was too scared to come? To take this chance?

Holden: Yeah.

Elise: I'm sick of playing it safe. Let's go to our room.

Holden: Sounds good to me.

Holden kisses Elise with tongue, and then she follows him to their room. As Holden unlocks the door, Elise starts to rub the back of his neck.

Holden: You have a nice touch.

Elise: Just wait until I'm touching you all over.

Holden turns around with a big smile on his face.

Holden: Just wait until I'm touching YOU all over. We're never going to forget this.

Elise: I don't doubt that.-
