Chapter 1: Moving out of Home

AUDREY POV:

My name is Audrey Perry, and I'm 17 years old. I'm making my way out of Jacksonville, Florida and heading to Luisiana. Living with my dad, Brad hasn't fallen into pieces yet. After my mom, Jessica and dad got divorced, a couple of months later she started to date a man named Chad. I had to live with my dad because Chad asked my mom to move in with him and he said that there was no room for me in his apartment so i just decided to let my mom move in and I move in with my dad.

I'm super nervous moving somewhere new. I've never been anywhere besides Jacksonville. He decided to move to Luisiana, because his whole family lives there. The only reason he ever moved to Jacksonville is because of college and meeting my mom. I never had a normal father-daughter relationship with my dad like everyone else. He was always working or out with his friends. I still can't believe that my mom and dad got divorced. My mother found out about a secret my dad did and she never fully forgave him. My mom says it just wasn't working, but i think they will make it work out soon enough. (I hope). I wish my dad would just tell me what he did so I could help them get over it. They've been divorced for 1 year and 2 months and my father hasn't met someone but my mom has already moved in with a guy I sort of don't like. My dad says that I'm going to be his number one priority right now.

|| 2 days later||

I've been in Luisiana
for about a day. My dad said we will be living with my grandma for a little bit so e can earn money to buy an apartment for ourselves. My grandma, Norma is one of the only people who i trust and talk to.

Brad: Audrey! Come set the table for dinner.

Audrey: OKAY!

Norma: "So sweetie, are you excited to start school at Farewell tomorrow?" She asked me.

Me: "I sort of am. I'm nervous, because I've never been to a different school and I hope I fit in and people like me."

Norma: Don't worry darling, it's one of the best schools in this area. What is one of your favorite dinner foods?

Me: I'm not very picky so really i'll eat anything, then she laughed, then said that my dad was one of the pickiest eaters alive when he was young. Then i laughed.

Brad: HEY!!! I was not picky i just didn't like many veggies haha.

Me: I'm finished eating so i'm going to go in my room and read. Bye you guys.

Both: bye.

BRAD POV:

I'm a little worried that something is wrong with Audrey. Mom said that she is probably just settling down in a new town so she'll calm down soon. I hope that's just the case. So i decided to go check on her. When I got upstairs i heard music playing so I knew Audrey was in there. I love her so much and i just want the best for her. Then i knocked.

AUDREY POV:

I was in my room decorating it so it will fit me, and how i feel. My dad then knocked on my door and came in and asked me what color i wanted to paint my room. I really like the color purple so he said he would take me tomorrow after school. "Honey are you okay? You seem to have something on your mind for the past week." He said. I had to lie to him, because i didn't want him knowing that I wonder about what happened to my parents, so i said "I'm fine." Then he told me to go to bed, so i turned off my light and went to sleep.
