AKAASHI LOOKS SO YUMMY IN THE GIFFFFFF
Akaashi is a first year and Bokuto is a second year fyi
"You sure you've got everything, Keiji? You always forget something." Kanako mumbled, straightening out her little brother's necktie.
"Yeah, yeah, I've got everything. Don't you have a blind date or something to go to?" Akaashi said.
"It's at noon, you idiot. Now get out of here." She smacked the back of his head while he put on his shoes.
"'Kay, don't die from rejection. Bye," Akaashi muttered. Kanako ignored this.
At the academy...
Akaashi had heard that Fukurodani academy was huge compared to nearby high schools. He was prepared to get lost a few times but his expectations were too low. Each hallway seemed to stretch beyond sight with identical doors lining each side. The library was three stories tall, with books Akaashi had never even heard of. Each classroom was bigger than the size of his living room.
Naturally, after about ten whole minutes of circling the same building unknowingly, he saw a beefy man standing at the shoe lockers. Assuming he was a teacher from his surprising size, Akaashi power walked towards him. He was talking to some girl, she seemed tiny compared to him.
As if on cue, the man turned around to Akaashi's footsteps. Akaashi blinked. He was wearing the same uniform as he was. He stopped for a moment, which seemed a lot longer than in reality.
He probably works out, his figure was toned, almost ripped. Akaashi couldn't really see from the distance, but his eyes appeared to have a warm, kind but mischievous look to them. His hair in an unusual style, it appeared to have been dyed a platinum grey but had grown out messily and he just resorted to spiking it up. His bulky arms hung awkwardly at his sides, nonetheless, his posture was stout and confident. He seemed to have a permanent smile plastered on his slightly dorky face.
He approached the man and cleared his throat awkwardly. The man turned around.
"Hey, man, you're a first year aren't you? I haven't seen you around. Oh, are you lost? Let me see your schedule." He said, the volume of his normal voice took Akaashi back. It took a second for Akaashi to snap out of his daze completely.
"Yeah, sorry, I'm a first year student and yes, I'm lost. This school is huge." Akaashi said in a monotone voice. He began to dig around in his bag, looking for a his schedule.
After what seemed like an eternity of the boy just standing there, looking around awkwardly, waiting for Akaashi to find his schedule, Akaashi fished out a tightly folded piece of paper from the dark depths of his backpack. He handed it to the giant.
He unfolded the paper nimbly. "Eh, you've got Kouske for literature. I guess he isn't that bad, he's a pervert though. Follow me, pipsqueak." He began treading away.
"Thanks, but for your information, I'm 182 centimeters, which isn't in any way short." He stated, power walking to keep up.
"And I'm 185, which makes me taller." He aggressively tousled Keiji's hair, which bothered him. "You gonna tell me your name, or?"
"Fine, I'm Akaashi Keiji." Keiji shook his head.
"I'm Koutarou Bokuto."
For what seemed like an eternity, the pair walked through long hallways and down flights of stairs. Akaashi started to like Bokuto's presence. His demeanour was the complete opposite of his, but he wanted to be with him longer, and to ask him personal questions. Like, 'what's your favorite class?' 'How about teacher?' 'How long have you been here?' 'When did you dye your hair?' 'Do the teachers not say anything about your hair?'
"Hey, this is Kouske's." Bokuto announced, dramatically gesturing to a door that looked like every other door. He bowed deeply, a playful smirk plastered across his face.
"Oh, thank you." Keiji mumbled, averting his eyes.
Bokuto softly patted him on the shoulder, his hand lingering. It slid off as he walked away.
"See ya'." Bokuto said, his voice a bit softer than what he was expecting.
Akaashi's brows furrowed. He could still feel his large hand on his shoulder. It felt like his brief touch had burned into the spot. He wanted Bokuto to put his hand back on his shoulder.
Weird. He thought.
He slipped into his classroom, wondering why he felt such a nostalgic longing for someone he had just met.
