Amelia

Phil was finishing the farm that he was putting together when Technoblade, Dream, and I reached the cabin. I whistled as I got closer, causing him to look up from where he was. He had a hoe in his hands, and he wiped sweat off of his forehead. His eyes widened when he realized I was flying directly toward him, and he dropped the hoe seconds before I collided with him.

"You're shaking." He muttered, locking his arms around me. "What happened?"

"We've got things to talk about, Phil." Technoblade said behind me.

"I can understand that, but Amelia is my priority right now."

I tightened my arms around him as I started crying. "Tommy turned on us."

"He what?" I shivered as Phil ran his fingers through my wing's feathers.

"He told Tubbo to give Dream his disk, and he looked directly at Techno when he said he was becoming like the people he doesn't want to be." I hiccupped as I spoke.

"Presumably talking about me and her." Technoblade added. "He may have also been talking about Dream."

Phil sighed as he gently grabbed my shoulders, making me take a step back so I'd look at him. He gave me a small smile as he used his thumbs to wipe my tears away, and I noticed how dirty he had gotten while working on the farm. He laughed as I snatched his bucket hat off of his head, his blond locks flying wildly.

"This is mine for now." I told him, putting the hat on. "Let's go inside and talk before I have a full mental breakdown."

I looked to Technoblade and Dream, and I gave the pig man a soft smile as he messed with his shirt, his eyes trained on the ground.

It was hard to see Amelia's guarded smile as she led the three of us into the cabin. Her wings were tightly furled, much more than they had been before she had left with Tommy and Techno. She kept her arms at her side as she spoke with the pig man, less lively than how she'd normally express herself. Even with her raccoon ears hidden under my hat, I could tell that they wouldn't be standing up straight, and her tail hardly moved.

"So you're planning on using TnT?" She asked, tilting her head slightly as she looked to Dream.

"Yes. I already have a good stash of it, so I have plenty to spare." He replied, holding his hand up and letting the explosive item float above his palm.

"How exactly do you plan on using it, though?" She folded her arms across her chest, her tail flicking slightly. "I don't particularly think you're the brightest when it comes to redstone contraptions."

"Amelia." I warned quietly.

"What?" She looked at me. "Out of the four of us here, who's the one with the most knowledge considering redstone? Hell, my name is RedztoneCraftz."

"Then I'll adjust the plan that I wanted to use. Techno and Phil will support me from below, and you'll show me how to set things up properly in the air." Dream said.

"I don't like the sound of that." I muttered.

"Amelia can handle herself in a fight now, Phil." Techno said. "You should've seen her the day we went hunting wither skeletons."

Dream held in a chuckle as Amelia turned bright red. She scoffed as she looked away, and I found her wings fidgeting slightly adorable.

"It would probably be best to actually have someone covering Dream while he's dropping the TnT anyway." She said. "Techno, do you mind sparring with me? I'd like to get some deflection practice in if I'm going to be in the air."

"Sure. I don't mind helping. Let me just grab my bow and some arrows."

The time came and went, and I was left feeling unsure of our plan as we drew closer to L'Manberg in the morning. Dream and Techno were bickering back and forth with each other as we walked, but my eyes were trained on Amelia's back as she walked ahead of us. She had once again stolen my hat, and my tattered haori was clipped tightly around her neck. Her wings were unfurled enough as if she anticipated having to fight as soon as we reached L'Manberg, I watched as she stopped walking, and the noise of surprise from her in the next second made me smile.

"You already set up the sky net?" She turned to look at Dream.

"I got it set up before I came to get you three." He replied. "I wanted to get things started as soon as possible."

We went over the plan one last time, and I caught Amelia's wrist as she moved to follow Dream. Her look of surprise was quickly replaced by a gentle smile.

"Come back to me, okay?" I whispered.

"I will." She giggled. "You worry too much, Phil."

I rolled my eyes as I pulled her closer, our lips brushing together briefly. She laughed when we broke apart, running after Dream as he headed up a highly unsafe staircase. I took a deep breath before turning my back to her and following Techno.
