Amelia
I kept my wings furled as tightly as I could, wanting to avoid the pain that came with stretching them out. I felt somewhat like a prisoner to Awesamdude despite the fact that he was leading me out of the prison. I shielded my eyes as we stepped outside after I retrieved my belongings, and I was silent as I walked behind Awesamdude. He was muttering incoherently under his breath, most likely not being loud on purpose.
"Mum?"
The disbelief in the voice made me turn my head, and I watched as Tommy leaped over a fallen tree trunk to race toward me. Fear and uncertainty filled his eyes as he got closer, his pace slowing down when he noticed the state I was in.
"What happened to her?" He growled, looking to Awesamdude.
Panic covered the man's features as Tommy roughly grabbed his shirt. I sighed, groaning slightly as the gaping wound in my side throbbed.
"Tommy, don't antagonize the man." I said. "I just want to go home."
"O-Okay." Tommy looked unsure of what to do. "D-Do you want me to go with you to Techno's?"
"You don't have to go the whole way. I don't know what he'd do if he saw you on his land." I pointed toward the community nether portal. "Just get me through the nether in one piece. I don't have any armor, and I don't think I'd really be able to wear any without further injuring myself."
He nodded once, glaring at Awesamdude before starting to walk toward the nether portal. I did my best to not instinctively fly as I followed him, and he turned to look at me briefly before disappearing into the portal. I took a deep breath as I stepped into the swirling purple illumination, feeling ill as I rematerialized on the other side. Tommy waved from further down the path, causing me to giggle at how enthusiastic he was about getting to lead me toward the nether portal back to the familiar snowy biome I called home. I hardly traveled through the nether, mostly because flying around was faster than having to waste time teleporting from place to place.
"Are you sure you don't want me to go with you?" Tommy asked as we stood at the portal. "What if they think you're just another mob?"
I raised an eyebrow at him. "If you're that insistent to join me, go ahead. I'm not taking responsibility for anything that happens to you."
He smiled, and I rolled my eyes as he hurried through the portal. I had to pause for a second when passing through it myself, and I looked around as I stepped off of the platform around the portal. It was currently snowing, but it wasn't a heavy blizzard. The sound of crunching snow made me feel at peace, and the soft glow of the lanterns and torches around the cabins I had become familiar with nearly made me cry as we approached them.
I could hear laughter from Technoblade's cabin, and I grabbed Tommy's arm to stop him from going up the stairs as the doors swung open. I felt like a child as I hid behind Tommy seconds before whoever was inside stepped out. Ranboo had to duck down to step through the doorframe, Phil at his side and Technoblade trailing after them.
"Tommy?" Ranboo was the first to notice the blond teen.
I peeked over Tommy's shoulder just as Phil looked at him, and his eyes immediately focused on me. Disbelief filled his eyes as his wings slightly stretched, and Ranboo's tail flicked slightly when he realized Phil wasn't focused on Tommy.
"Are you just going to hide behind me?" Tommy chuckled, stepping to the side slightly and laughing more when he realized I was tightly holding onto his shirt. "You wanted to come back!"
"Amelia....?" Phil muttered.
Technoblade focused on me immediately, and I screamed as the three of them rushed down the stairs toward me. Tommy jumped out of the way seconds before I was bombarded, Phil lifting me up in his arms the second he could.
"Holy shit!" Phil put me down, his hands going to my neck as he stared at me. "I can touch you! You're alive!?"
"Partially alive, I think." Technoblade ran his eyes over me. "You have a lot of explaining to do!"
All three men had tears in there eyes. Tommy excused himself, waving before walking away. Technoblade bent down slightly as I touched his cheek, and Phil gave me a teary smile as I looked at him. Ranboo was close to having a full meltdown as I faced him.
"Hi there, Bud." I gave him a soft smile as my tail wagged. "I'm glad to see you're safe."
He rubbed his eyes as his tail flicked back and forth rapidly. "All thanks to you."

I was silent as I sat on the bed in the attic of the cabin Phil had built, my shirt gripped tightly in my hands as Phil wrapped bandages around the several decaying places that littered my skin. I had made my wings vanish to make it an easier job.
"There." He muttered as he ripped the end of the bandage to stick it to the rest. "All done."
I stared at my right hand, bandages wrapped tightly around my palm, wrist, and two of my fingers. "I wonder if I'll last in this state."
"What do you mean?" Phil sat down beside me, kicking off his shoes.
"I'm technically half dead and decaying slowly." I replied. "At least, I think I'm decaying. I don't really know."
"I'll check the progression of your.....wounds.... over time to see if you're really getting worse." He seemed to be uncomfortable as he spoke.
I let my hands fall into my lap as the silence loomed over us. I was quick to pull my shirt on, and I looked at Phil as he ran his hand through his hair. He looked exhausted, his once brilliant blue eyes dull and almost lifeless. I tilted my head slightly before getting to my feet, holding my hands out slightly to the side to gain my balance as I wobbled. Phil looked up at me when I turned to face him, my hands behind my back.
"Do I..... make you uncomfortable?" I asked, showing him my wrapped hands. "Like this, I mean? Not alive, but not really dead either?"
"I'd like to understand how you became like this a bit more than what you've said. Telling us that going to Dream was what led to this is only half of the story, and I know you'd never reveal someone else's secrets to people you don't trust with it. I get not saying it in front of Ranboo, but I'd like to know why you won't tell me or Techno." He muttered.
"Techno will find out in his own time. I can sense something will happen between him and Dream." My tail flicked slightly as I thought, and I did my best to be quiet as I let out the painful groan that came with the movement. "As for why I'm not telling you......"
I lowered my head, a million thoughts running through it all at once. I took a deep breath before I looked at Phil again.
"I don't want all of your efforts and research to go to waste, and it would if you knew about how he did it."
