[Jughead's POV]:

T'was a Thursday night, when Cheryl Blossom decided to throw a house party at Thistlehouse. She had invited everyone in our group chat, along with the Vixens, and some of the Serpents, as per Toni's request. There were also a few extra kids from school there as well.

I didn't want to go, but Betty promised to buy me a burger at Pop's if I went. Who could say no to that?

[Third Person POV]:

"Hobo! Bride of Hobo!" Cheryl exclaimed, as she opened the door to greet Jughead and Betty, who had just arrived at Thistlehouse. "Hey, Cheryl..." said Jughead in a depressive tone, whomst clearly did not want to be there. "Oh, lighten up, hobo. I promise that everyone has fun at my parties!" Cheryl said back. Betty chipped in. "Really? Because I remember that one time when you rigged the 7-minutes-in-heaven game to make Archie and Veronica kiss, when you knew 'I' liked him. That wasn't very fun." Cheryl went dead-silent for a second, before she muttered 'touché' under her breath.

Cheryl eventually led Jughead and Betty into the foyer, where she listed off where everything was. "Food and drinks are in the kitchen, and Nana Rose is hosting a knitting circle in the living room, but the dance floor and DJ booth are in the backyard! Toodles!" Cheryl walked off, probably to go join everyone in the backyard. Betty turned to Jughead. "So Jug, where do you want to go?" she asked.

"Honestly, I might go find a dark corner somewhere that I can brood in." responded Jughead, who almost sounded serious. He probably was. "C'mon Juggie, you should socialize!... I'll buy you a second burger at Pop's..." Betty said back, with a wink. Jughead sighed, but shed a smirk. "How could I say no to that?" Betty smiled, and kissed him on the cheek. "C'mon, let's go get some drinks." she said, grabbing Jughead's hand and pulling him towards the kitchen.

---

Toni and Josie were in the backyard sitting on a bench, gossiping about that one time Cheryl put a pig's heart in Josie's locker around the time of the Black Hood attacks. "Wow... that's crazy." responded Toni, who wasn't surprised, considering she knows that Cheryl is currently harboring her dead brother's corpse in the Blossom chapel under Thistlehouse. They were soon joined by the redheaded bombshell herself, who led them both to the dance floor.

Archie had suggested to Kevin that they join Nana Rose's knitting circle, but instead, Kevin pulled Archie into one of the very many closets in Thistlehouse where they had a very PG-13 makeout session. They were soon caught by Sweet Pea though, who thought the closet door led to a bathroom.

---

Veronica was sitting outside alone by Penelope's old greenhouse, with a half-full drink in her hand. She had been distant from everyone the whole party. Reggie took notice of this though, and searched for her, until he found her sitting alone. "Hey, V... mind if I join you?" Veronica looked up at Reggie. "Not at all..." she responded in a broody tone. Reggie sat down next to her. "Is everything okay, Veronica?" he asked. Veronica sighed, looking down at her drink.

"Y'know, I was really excited to come to this party, Reggie... but then when I got here, I noticed how everyone here has someone... except me. Betty has Jughead, Cheryl has Toni... Hell, Archie, the guy who I thought I'd probably end up with, just started dating Kevin." she said, staring into the wilderness beyond Thistlehouse, then looking back down at her drink. "Does it hurt seeing Archie with Kevin?" Reggie asked. "No, it's not like that... We agreed to be just friends a while ago, but... I moved to Riverdale thinking that I would have the 'perfect highschool romance'..." Veronica finally took a sip of her drink. "If it wasn't going to be with Archie, who would it be with then?..."

Reggie was about to respond, but he was interrupted by Cheryl's yelling. "Okay,  Extras! It's time to play 7-minutes-in-heaven!"

Veronica chuckled. "I'm having a lot of Déjà Vu right now..."
