I stared at the paper hanging on my wall. It was a copy of the classes I was taking, there was absolutely no mention of regular classes on the paper. I felt free, because now I could focus on my real life. I read the schedule again, I would be taking every single class with my foursome, and most except for one, with my house. I smiled, I would have one of my six classes with just my friends. Over the past week, orientation week, Merida Jack Hiccup and I had become inseparable. While Merida and Jack still bickered, it was more playful banter. I had a few friends in our house as well. Anna, Elsa, and a girl named Ariel had become friends with me. And it was easy to make half friends with the entire house.

Elsa and Anna were my cousins, so it was a given that we would be friends. Ariel was really bubbly and fun, kindve like me I guess, so we hit it off. Merida however was truly my best friend. She had been for the past 3 years. This year, I wouldn't have to attend geometry or algebra or earth systems. Instead my schedule looked like this,
• talent training
• guardian and moon history
• the arts
• defense
• lunch
• p. E.

I smiled, it looked interesting and for once, I wasn't dreading school! I got out of bed, and walked to my closet school started at 9:00 o'clock, so I had 3 hours. First I took a shower, blow dried my hair, and picked out my outfit. It was a pair of periwinkle purple pants with golden stripes. The shirt was a white button up, with a golden tie. I had gold earrings in, with a golden sun necklace. I smiled, slipping on the gold boots again. The school picked a theme for your clothes, they weren't quite uniforms. You chose what to wear, it was just payed for by the school, and the clothes were stylish, and not at all dull. I liked the arrangement and I didn't mind.

For a coat, I wore my long white fur cloak. All students hade several, and I really liked all of mine. But I decided on the white one. I slung my backpack over my shoulder, and walked out the door. It was 30 minutes till class started, and I blew the blow horn. Merida brought it, so that 30 minutes before school she could wake up and get ready. She had a system, and if the boys weren't up, well they were now. I sat at the kitchen table and ate my cereal. I put some hot-coa-coa into a coffee mug. I took a sip, and Merida Jack and Hiccup came racing out. They downed breakfast in about two seconds, all stylishly dressed as well. They grabbed their backpacks and I followed them out the door.

"Are we late?" Jack said, and Hiccup looked tired. He probably had stayed up too long reading. "Nope," I reply as the elevator doors dinged open and we piled in. It lowered to the bottom level of the school, the arena for talent practice. The doors opened and we rushed to the arena and dropped our backpacks and slid into our seats as the bell chimed. Jack was sitting next to me on my right side "told you" I whispered "right on time" he chuckled under his breath. Merida was on his right side, and Hiccup was to my left. I giggled and turned to face the teacher.

Professor Aster was literally, a oversized rabbit. Jack leaned over to me "Is that a kangaroo?" He questioned, gesturing to the boomerangs. I tried to hold in my laugh, I could feel the heat rising on my face. "Now everyone, please choose a weapon, and come to me for further instructions. " Professor Aster said tapping his foot impatiently. All 16 students hopped down and went to the weapons table. Hiccup grabbed a shield and sword, Merida took a bow and arrow, Jack reached into his hoodie pocket and fished out a miniature stick. It was G shaped, and when he pulled it out, it grew into a long staff.

I nervously stood in front of the table. Even though 14 students had already picked their weapons, I was undecided. Professor Aster approached "We have a special tool for you Rapunzel" he said smiling warmly. "Here" he handed me a small silver stick, which reminded me of Jack's staff. I inspected the piece "it can grow to any length, much like Jack's staff. It can become solid silver, or your sun energy. Your powers aren't only for healing" Professor Aster said and I pictured a long staff, that mimicked Jack's. It grew and bent into the shape I thought of. When I gripped it with both hands, sparks of gold energy ricocheted off the metal. I gasped and grinned, I might look innocent but now I could pack a punch.

Professor Aster nodded approvingly, and hopped off to assist a student with their weapon. I walked over to where Jack Merida and Hiccup were waiting. "Sick!" Jack said looking me over smiling, something else hiding in his eyes, but my attention was snapped away. "Alright, partner up with someone who can compete, all except the bow and arrows, your over here practicing with targets" Professor Aster called out. I glanced at Jack, and he grinned "challenge accepted", Hiccup laughed, "Tell me how it goes" he then walked off and paired up with my cousin, Anna. "So, what do I do?" I asked blushing, I didn't have much experience fighting. "Go with your gut" Jack said, turning to face me, standing in a stance, staff in front of him. He swung, and My reflexes angled my staff sideways to block the hit. The staffs clashed, and I swung at his feet, I was barely deflected, and I swung at his shins. Again he barely deflected, but it was obvious he was going easy. Hit after hit kept getting harder. Eventually we parried, and tried more complex moves. He boosted his level as I got more comfortable, but I got a brilliant idea. I swung and he swung to meet my staff, but it had it's changed form. The metal coiled into a whip, and I yanked backwards, pulling his staff. It clattered on the floor.

I grinned and picked it up handing it too him. The room erupted in applause, I jumped. Apparently we had sparred for 30 minutes and the class had gathered to watch. "Well done" Professor Aster said surprised, and Jack nodded smiling. "Not bad Punzie, not bad at all" I blushed and Merida and Hiccup walked over. "That was pretty sweet" He said, grinning at me, Merida was smiling. "I knew you were feisty, but by the moon Punz, that was overkill" I smiled "You think?" They all laughed and nodded. I blushed again, and we headed to our next class.
