Y/n is walking quickly away from the lab.
She suddenly stops walking and takes a few deep breaths.
She keeps walking but not as fast and is clearly shaken up.
She sees her mother in a rhino enclosure and walks over to the railing.
Her mother notices her and smiles.
MOM
Oh hey. How'd the lab exploring go?
Y/N
Uh fine. Say, I'm gonna head home.
MOM
Oh really? Are you sure? I'm almost done with my shift. I can drive you home.
Y/N
No, it's okay. I need the exercise anyway. See ya.
MOM
Um honey, wait a minute. I don't think you should go home by yourself.
Y/N
Mom, really, I'll be fine. Bye.
MOM
No, I really think you should just wait until I'm done. Then we can both head home together. The Bronx is dangerous. Especially for an unaccompanied young girl. I couldn't bear it if something happened to you. You and your brother are all I have left.
Y/N
Mom. I already told you I'll be fine. I'm not stupid. I'm taking karate classes anyways, remember? I can defend myself. Besides, it's not like our house is far away.
Y/n's mother looks at the ground and sighs.
MOM
Alright. Go, but be careful. Please.
Y/N
I will.
Y/n flashes her mom a quick, weak smile.
She begins walking steadily home.
8 ~~INT. Y/N'S HOUSE-NIGHT~~ 8
Y/n enters her house, sweating profusely, and looking sick and pale.
She shuts the door behind her.
She's breathing heavily and making audible gasps and groans.
SARAH
Ms. l/n? Is that you?
A young woman's voice comes from the living room.
The young woman appears in the doorway.
SARAH
Oh y/n. I was hoping it was you or your mother and not some robber. Are you okay?
Y/N
Yeah, I'm fine. I just need to lie down.
SARAH
You don't look so good. What happened?
Y/N
Oh, nothing. It's probably just food poisoning. You know how school lunch is.
SARAH
Yeah. Um, are you sure you don't want me to call a doctor?
Y/N
No, no, I'm in perfect health.
Y/n starts going up the stairs while Sarah stares at her with concern.
SARAH
Well, I hope you feel better soon.
Y/N
Thanks. I'm sure it'll pass.
Y/n turns around and goes up the remaining steps.
Sarah watches her turn left and go past the corner.
Y/n opens the door to her bedroom.
She walks in and shuts the door behind her.
She throws her glasses on the bed to the left of her.
She then falls on the bed vertically.
She starts groaning.
The view of her zooms in to show her DNA getting replaced with green DNA.
The view starts spinning before zooming out to show y/n open her eyes.
