Chapter 13

18 ~~EXT. PETER'S HOUSE-AFTERNOON~~ 18

Y/n is standing in front of Peter's house, about to knock on his door.

She raises her arm and sighs before knocking.

She hears voices come from inside.

Someone starts fiddling with the door.

It opens to reveal Peter.

PETER
Oh, y/n. Hey.

Y/N
Hi. Is this a bad time?

PETER
Oh, no, no, no. Come in. Please.

Y/n steps in the house as Peter shuts the door behind her.

19 ~~INT. PETER'S HOUSE~~ 19

Peter and y/n are standing by the front door when a lady begins speaking.

AUNT MAY
Peter, who was at the door?

The lady walks in the room.

AUNT MAY
Oh, hello there. Are you one of Peter's friends?

Y/N
Uh yes, hello. My name is y/n.

PETER
Y/n, this is my Aunt May.

Y/N
Oh, well it's nice to meet you.

AUNT MAY
Thank you. It's nice to meet you.

PETER
Aunt May, y/n and I are just going to be in my room.

AUNT MAY
Oh all right. I'll just be down here if you two need anything.

Peter nods his head and begins walking up a staircase as y/n begins following.

Aunt May watches them leave.

Peter and y/n go in Peter's room and he shuts the door behind them.

Y/n sits on the edge of Peter's bed as Peter sits at his desk.

PETER
So, what ideas did you have in mind?

Y/N
What?

PETER
For the costume.

Y/N
Oh. Well, I was thinking about making it green since that's the color associated with lizards.

PETER
Yeah, good idea. Have you thought of a name?

Y/N
Well, you know how you're Spider-Man?

Peter nods his head.

Y/N
Well, I was thinking of Lizard-Girl. Especially since I already tried Lizard-Woman and it didn't sound as good.

PETER
Lizard-Girl. I like it. I like it a lot. 

Y/N
I guess now just comes the costume part.

PETER
Well, I'll get my sketchbook out and we can run through some ideas.

Y/N
All right.

A costume montage begins where Peter draws ideas and y/n says no to them until she says yes to a costume similar to Peter's with a tight, spandex suit, but it's green. Also, it has a mask that's also green, but it fits her face like Batman's or Catwoman's does.

PETER
All right, well, I'll try to have it done as soon as possible, okay?

Y/N
Oh, you don't have to rush. Just you offering to make it is enough for me.

Peter chuckles.

PETER
It's fine. You need a costume anyways. I'm sure you'll look amazing in it. Unless I don't make it very good.

Y/n laughs.

Y/N
Thank you Peter. You're a really thoughtful person. 

They both smile and stare at each other.

Suddenly, there's a knock on the door.

They both turn and look at the door.

PETER
Yeah?

The door opens and Aunt May is standing there with Harry.

AUNT MAY
Harry came by so I just thought I'd let him in.

PETER
Oh, hey Harry. Thanks Aunt May.

She smiles and shuts the door after Harry walks in.

HARRY
Hey Pete. Who's your friend?

PETER
Oh, this is y/n. She works for the school paper.

HARRY
Oh nice. Are you a photographer too?

Y/N
No, I'm a writer.

HARRY
A writer, huh? You know, I've actually written a play myself.

Y/N
Really? Is it any good?

Harry laughs.

HARRY
No, it's pretty embarrassing.

They all chuckle.

HARRY
So, are you and Pete just friends? Or is something else going on, if you know what I mean?

Harry smiles and winks.

Peter and y/n chuckles.

PETER
No, we're just friends Harry.

HARRY
All right. I was just wondering. Say, have you talked to MJ lately?

PETER
Well, I had a brief discussion with her Friday night.

HARRY
Oh yeah? Did it go well?

Harry gives a mischievous smile while Peter laughs.

PETER
We just talked.

HARRY
I'm just asking, I know how much you like her.

Peter chuckles while y/n is looking to the side, feeling awkward.

HARRY
Hey, are you excited to graduate? Graduation Day is coming up soon. We'll finally be done with crummy school, huh?

PETER
Yeah and I'm getting the Science Award.

HARRY
What a nerd.

Y/N
I'm getting it too.

HARRY
Geez, another nerd. I didn't know I was in a room full of nerds.

Y/n and Peter smile while Harry laughs.

PETER
Well, one thing about it is that I'm sure it's going to be a day we won't forget.

They all smile and nod their heads.
