40 ~~INT. Y/N'S MOTHER'S HOSPITAL ROOM-MORNING~~ 40

Y/n is sitting in a chair looking at her mother sleeping in the hospital bed.

Her little brother is also in the room, but he's asleep in a chair.

Y/n turns her head and looks out the window.

She sighs.

Her mother then wakes up.

Y/n turns her head and notices that her mother is awake.

Y/N
Oh, mom, thank God. Are you okay?

Y/N'S MOTHER
Yes, I'm fine. Did you stay here the whole night?

Y/N
Yeah. I didn't want to just leave you here. Besides, I wanted to make sure you were feeling alright.

Her mother chuckles.

Y/N'S MOTHER
You're too much, you know that? Here I am, always worried about you, and now you're here worrying about me. Not to mention, you having your own apartment, going to college, and having a job. You're not the Flash, you know.

Y/n chuckles.

Y/N
Yeah, I know. I just care about you.

Y/n grabs her mother's hand.

Y/N
And I've never been the type of person to not busy myself with things.

They both smile at each other.

Y/N
Are you sure you're alright?

Her mother lets go of her hand.

Y/N'S MOTHER
Yes, I'm perfectly fine. Now stop wasting your time fretting over me, and go and do something productive.

Y/n shakes her head and chuckles.

Y/N
All right, but if you need any company be sure to give me a call.

Y/N'S MOTHER
Don't worry about me. If I get lonely, I'll just talk to Jake here.

They both look over at Jake who is still sleeping in the chair.

Y/N
Okay, bye.

Y/N'S MOTHER
Bye, sweetie.
