Chapter 30

48 ~~INT. NORMAN'S PENTHOUSE~~ 48

Peter and y/n enter Norman's penthouse carrying Norman's body.

They place it on a couch.

They then put his head on a pillow and drape a blanket over him.

They stand up and stare down at the body.

They turn their heads and see Harry walk in the room.

HARRY
What have you done? What have you done?

Harry opens a drawer and gets a gun out, in the meantime, y/n has grabbed onto Peter as he swung out of the open penthouse window.

Harry points the gun at where they were standing and sees they are now gone.

49 ~~EXT. GRAVEYARD-DAY~~ 49

Norman's funeral has just been held and people are now starting to disperse.

Aunt May, Mary Jane, y/n, Peter, and Harry are there.

Peter and y/n see Harry standing off to the side alone and walk over to him.

PETER
Hey.

Harry turns around to look at them.

PETER
I'm so sorry. Harry.

Y/N
Yeah, me too. It's so awful, what happened.

Peter nods his head.

PETER
I know what it's like to lose a father.

HARRY
I didn't lose him. He was stolen from me. One day, Spider-Man and Lizard-Girl will pay. I swear on my father's grave, Spider-Man and Lizard-Girl will pay.

Peter and y/n don't say anything as Peter holds eye contact with Harry while y/n is looking at the ground.

HARRY
Thank God for the both of you. You guys are the only family I have.

Harry hugs Peter.

He then hugs y/n.

He nods at Peter and y/n.

He begins walking away.

Y/n watches him go.

Peter sees y/n watching Harry walk away.

He then turns around and directs his attention towards MJ.

Peter walks away.

Y/n sighs and looks at where Peter was and notices he's gone.

She sees him walking away and looks at Harry again.

Y/N
Harry, wait!

She begins running to catch up to him.

He was standing in front of his car and had reached for the door handle, but turned around at y/n's remark.

Y/n runs up to him and jumps in his arms to hug him.

He stumbles back and stands there in shock, but then starts hugging her back.

They eventually break apart and gaze at each other.

Y/N
Harry, I'm so sorry about everything. I know life hasn't exactly been very kind to you lately, but I want you to know that if you ever need anybody, I'm here for you.

Harry smiles and nods.

Y/N
And I'm always gonna be here for you.

Harry laughs. He gazes at y/n with happiness.

HARRY
Oh y/n. You don't know how long I've waited for someone to say that to me. I had always helped people throughout high school, but nobody was ever there to help me back.

Y/n nods her head and gives Harry a sympathetic smile.

HARRY
You know, when I was on that bridge, and I thought I was going to die, the only thing that mattered to me was getting to see your face one last time. You make me happier than I have ever been with anyone else. You make me feel like I'm more than I ever could be. And you make me feel like I'm more than just a loser who stumbles his way through life.

Y/n laughs.

Y/N
Oh Harry.

HARRY
The truth is, I love you, y/n. More than anyone I've ever known. Oh y/n, I love you so much.

Harry then presses his lips against
y/n's.

He puts his arms around y/n's waist as y/n reciprocates the kiss.

They break away and stare at each other with a smile.

Y/n's smile suddenly turns into a frown.

She sighs and takes a couple of steps back from Harry.

Y/N
I can't do this, Harry.

HARRY
Can't do what?

Harry still has a smile on his face.

Y/N
This. Us. But my offer still stands. I will always be your friend.

His smile vanishes.

HARRY
Just a friend?

Y/N
I'm sorry, but that's all I have to give.

Harry looks away and a stern expression grows on his face.

HARRY
Fine.

Harry then grabs the door handle of his car and opens the door.

He steps in and shuts the door behind him.

The car begins driving away as Harry looks out the window, avoiding y/n's gaze.

Y/n watches the car drive off.

Narration starts.

Y/N
In order to protect the ones I love, I have to make tough choices. I realize that now. And in the future, I'll have even more tougher choices to make. But I'll be ready for them when they come. This is my gift...my curse. Who am I? I'm Lizard-Girl.

The view changes to Spider-Man swinging around the city with Lizard-Girl holding onto him.

They land on the top of a building with an American flag.

Peter then begins swinging again and the view goes black.
