21 ~~INT. Y/N'S HOUSE AFTERNOON~~ 21

It has been a couple of months since graduation.

Y/n is in her house eating with her mother and brother.

They're sitting at the kitchen table, all eating sandwiches.

Suddenly, the landline phone rings.

Y/N
I'll get it.

Y/n wipes her mouth and then wipes her hands on her jeans.

She picks up the phone that's on the kitchen counter.

Y/N
Hello?

PETER
Hi, is this y/n?

Y/N
Speaking.

PETER
Oh hey. It's me, Peter.

Y/N
Oh hey Peter. How's it-

PETER
Can you meet me on the roof of Fraunces Tavern?

Y/N
Oh, uh sure. Where is that exactly?

PETER
54 Pearl Street. In the city.

Y/N
Okay. I'll be there.

PETER
Thanks, see ya then.

Y/N
See ya.

Y/n puts the receiver down.

Her mom has been watching y/n and listening to her conversation.

Y/n walks back to the kitchen table, appearing as if in a rush.

Y/N
Hey mom, I have to go somewhere. I don't know when I'll be back. You can just put my sandwich away. Thanks, bye.

Y/n starts walking towards the front door.

MOM
Woah, wait a minute tiger, where are ya going?

Y/N
...To a job interview. I forgot I had one and Peter just called to remind me.

MOM
Oh.

Y/n starts walking towards the front door again.

MOM
Y/n wait. When did you give him your number?

Y/n scoffs while smiling and rolls her eyes.

Y/N
Mom! I've got to go!

MOM
Okay sweetie. See you later. Good luck, I'm sure you'll do great.

Y/N
Thanks mom. Bye. Bye Jake.

Bye!

Y/n walks to the front door and opens it.

She steps outside and closes it.

Then, she begins making her way to Fraunces Tavern.
