I told Kayla to go grab some healers from our cabin. She ran off down the hill and I ran outside the camp border, my bow and arrow at the ready. I quickly reached the boy and stopped. He was the boy I had seen years ago, we had been in the same class and he had helped me back from some bullies.

There was no time to think about that now though. The satyr, Selenous, was injured badly and he had to get back to camp fast. Thankfully the empausai was still down the hill running slowly.

"Get the satyr across the pine tree!" I told the boy. "How will that help?" he said panting. The boy I noticed had a nasty gash on his arm and it was bleeding. "Listen, I'll help you get him across the camp border then you wait there for some people to come". He just nodded and we ran inside the camp border. I saw the empausai closing. I turned to the boy and said "Be right back".

I ran outside the border. I drew my bow and aimed 2 arrows at the empausai's head, but before I could shoot it tossed me aside. I knew empausai fed off the blood of men and I could not let it reach the boy who, despite my efforts to help him get inside camp borders, was coming my way, to help I assumed. I got up and nearly blacked out. I looked at my leg and saw that the annoying empausai had cut my leg. Despite the pain I stood up and shot the 2 arrows at its back. The empausai looked back, saw that it had been shot and then crumbled to dust.

I hobbled inside the camp borders, the boy helping me inside and staring at me as if I was a god. I saw Kayla and a few healers come our way. Suddenly a wave of pain hit my leg and I looked down and saw that I had lost a lot of blood. I didn't think I could get the medication fast enough. I told the boy"Go to the people down there and help them get Selenus medication. You too need some medication for that arm."

"What about you? You need more help than me" he said.

God boys were annoying. "Just do what I told you to do." Thankfully he left me and went down the hill. Then I didn't look down and all of a sudden I tripped over a stone and fell to the ground, a wave of nausea washing over me, and I blacked out.
