Third Person POV:

“You sure you don’t need me to be with you on your way to the office? You know that I can do that for you right?” Jung Kook asked as he caressed Seok Jin’s nape.

“I’m sure Babe, and besides, you want to see your parents right? You miss them, so don’t mind me and spend your day with them, I can pick you up later then we can go home together.” Seok Jin reassured, he felt Jung Kook’s hands goes down to his waist, and he loves it.

“I love you.” Jung Kook whispers. Seok Jin smiled at him immediately. “I love you too. Thank you for picking up my outfit for today, I like it.”

“Any outfit will suits on you Babe, you look so good in everything.” Seok Jin smiled with Jung Kook’s compliment but he isn't used to it as it always feels like a first time someone said he's that beautiful, it always feels new and different whenever Jung Kook let out lots of compliments.

As Jung Kook waved his hands for goodbye, Seok Jin forced a smile as he start the engine of his car, his tears flowed down on his cheeks.

“No… Don’t cry Seok Jin. Don’t. You shouldn’t cry. You love him so trust him, trust him and focus, you got this, come on you got this.” Seok Jin chants wiping his tears with his statement, his hands was tight gripped at the steering wheel of his car.

He kept chanting those words even if he’s already crying.

Wiping his tears, he didn’t notice he arrived at the parking lot of his workplace.

He didn’t even know how he is making himself whole at his workplace for spacing out when he is alone.

“Seok Jin! I’ve been looking for you! Just want to say hi. I left some coffee on your desk but if you still want anything–” Taehyung stopped what he was saying when Seok Jin heave a deep sigh walking passed him, treating him like an air.

Taehyung couldn’t keep himself smiling seeing Seok Jin being grumpy early in the morning, Seok Jin remained silent as he keeps walking to the elevator, Taehyung smiled quietly and place his hands on Seok Jin’s wrist.

“Taehyung, stop okay? I’m fine. Now stop following me and get lost–“

“Not going to stop, you’re not fine and I won’t stop and ended up getting lost, following you around is the right direction.”

“Taehyung this day isn’t the best day to pissed me off.” Seok Jin said shut eyes.

Taehyung pulled him for a hug as the elevator closed, Seok Jin tried to push Taehyung away by pushing his stomach but his energy isn’t enough for Taehyung’s determined arms wrapped around him to make him calm.

Seok Jin looked up at the ceiling of the elevator as Taehyung broke the hug, he then let out a shaky breathing. “Can’t you just pretend that you believe me? Can’t you just, let me be? Taehyung please don’t start now.”

“SHHH… Okay, I’m sorry… I’m sorry Jin. I will keep my mouth shut I promise.”

Seok Jin’s face lighten up as his hands settled on Taehyung’s waist. “Thank you so much Taehyung… I-I’m sorry, I’m just really stressed out.”

“Then, can I take you out later for dinner?”

Seok Jin shook his head while checking his watch. “I can’t Taehyung, you know that its his birthday today–“

“But its your birthday too Jin, did you forget about that? If you did, I won’t let you get away with it easily, how could you forget about your own birthday?” Taehyung disappointingly shook his head as he pouted pulling Seok Jin close to his chest.

“I can’t really think about myself these past few weeks and yes, you can say that I forgot about it since I don’t have time to celebrate.”

“Taehyung I feel like my body and mind will give up anytime, it wanted to give up but I am still holding it back.” Taehyung’s heart breaks into pieces. Even if he knows his place in Seok Jin’s life.

Just a business partner and a friend. But for him, Seok Jin is more than that.

As they arrived at the office, Seok Jin pick up the coffee that Taehyung got for him, raising it over his chest level twirling it gently. His tears fell, Taehyung responds fast as he wrapped his arms around Seok Jin’s waist.

“Please don’t cry…”

Seok Jin showed a forced smile, his tears didn’t stop flowing though, and Taehyung didn’t stop wiping it too. “I’ve been telling that to myself repeatedly. Taehyung do I really deserve the pain I have and was having?”

“Taehyung I love him so much but–“ As Taehyung grab Seok Jin’s coffee, he pulled Seok Jin tight into his arms to stop him from talking.

It will break him more. He didn’t want to be ignorant for the fact that Seok Jin is married.

Married to their company’s rivals but now that they are business partners, he couldn’t help but to be thankful for Mr. Jeon’s offers to their company to connive with them.

As the door of Jung Kook’s office hung open, Mrs. Jeon appeared that made Taehyung and Seok Jin startled a little.

Seok Jin quickly distant himself to Taehyung then turn to bowed his head.

Mrs. Jeon smiled and hug Seok Jin’s nervous state.

“My lovely son, happy, happy birthday Seok Jin-ah.”

“Thank you Mom.” Seok Jin responds softly as Mrs. Jeon caressed his hands gently.

“Seok Jin-ah… I know you are in a very difficult situation with my son, I know you are getting tired physically and mentally. The responsibility of being our son and his husband the moment you two got married is huge.”

“We all know that, But...” Mrs. Jeon heave a deep sigh, hiding her tears, she then looked sideways before blurting out another words.

“Please don’t be tired of him okay? We are here for you, Jung Kook is a nice man and I know one day? Changes will happen.”

I am praying for that change everyday. Seok Jin answered that only his mind knew.

As Mrs. Jeon hug Seok Jin for a while then broke it, Taehyung smiles disappeared when Mrs. Jeon scanned his whole body.

“Mr. Kim is there a problem with the board meeting? Why are you here to my son’s office, Jung Kook couldn't be here.”

Of course Jung Kook couldn't. Seok Jin again, said on his mind.

“I just stopped by to give him the cup of coffee. I want to give him more than that since its his birthday but–“

“Taehyung– Please leave us alone, please?” Seok Jin pleads as Taehyung tried to approach him and hold him once again.

“Okay call me if you change your mind about the dinner invitation okay?”

Seok Jin didn’t answer him, Mrs. Jeon kept her gaze to Seok Jin. “Mom, why are you here? Aren’t you going to see Jung Kook?”

“He wants to see you and that is for sure. I will join you at night after work–“

Mrs. Jeon pulled Seok Jin for another hug as she noticed Seok Jin’s expression. “Its okay to cry Seok Jin-ah. Cry with me, I understand you, trust me, what you are going through isn’t easy.”

“This company is ours, we are holding our time unlike our employees. Let’s go and join our dinner, like what we are doing before.”

“Jung Kook would be very glad to see you, it’s rare for couples to have a same birthday, so please? Be with us and don't just keep yourself busy.” Mrs. Jeon said as she broke the hug wiping Seok Jin’s tears not minding hers.
