Third Person POV:
“Oh. If you are finding me weird, I am actually sitting there in front of your seats and I heard you talking, we can do some discussions and I can answer all of your questions.”
Jung Kook looks at Seok Jin as he assumed who was the person in front of them. “N-No way… A-Are you the writer of the movie–“
“Babe he’s the–“ Jung Kook widened his eyes as he covered Seok Jin’s mouth and whispered… “He can’t see me, calm down Babe I know… I know what you're feeling…” Jung Kook says as he did a puppy eyes to Seok Jin who is glaring at him after covering his mouth.
The man smiled as he observed Seok Jin silently. “Yes I am, here’s a proof and a pen of mine was engraved my initials. I am Jimmy Monroe and I am the writer of that movie, ‘Loving You’ I made you cry so I bet I need to compensate it for dinner and some explanations as well? I feel like I owe you one.” Mr. Monroe said that excites Jung Kook but Seok Jin’s face begins to become emotional as he looks at Jung Kook for support but his husbands is looking at him with a look of hopes that Mr. Monroe can support his advice to Seok Jin.
“Hear him out Babe, maybe you’ll understand what I said earlier.”
“You think so?” Seok Jin asked but Jung Kook motioned him not to look at him as Mr. Monroe might find him weird for talking to someone that is not visible to other people.
“O-Oh… I tend to talk to myself when I’m alone s-sure… I am Seok Jin by the way, I want to know why you did that to the characters, they deserve a happy ending.” Seok Jin started as Mr. Monroe leads the way and Seok Jin walks faster to catch up beside him, Jung Kook did the same as he was excited to know Mr. Monroe’s reason.
Mr. Monroe was now in the middle of the couple not saying anything and just keeps on smiling. “Babe ask him about his life, like his family, wife, husband or kids.” Jung Kook suggested as he saw Seok Jin getting impatient with Mr. Monroe’s behavior who keeps on just smiling whenever Seok Jin tries to say something.
“I-Is it okay to ask y-you something personal? If i-it’s not, then it’s okay–“
“I am gay, I have a husband but I lost him two years ago.”
“Is it okay for you in this place? I used to go in here with him.” Mr. Monroe said as he motioned Seok Jin to take a seat first and with Seok Jin being attentive he didn’t mind that place as it has a good atmosphere and a desert must be serve of course.
“C-Can we get another chair?” Seok Jin asked as he looks at Jung Kook standing beside them. Mr. Monroe requested another chair at the waiter as he ordered foods that Seok Jin told him to do so since he is a regular at the restaurant.
Mr. Monroe assumed that Seok Jin asked for the chair in case his husband arrives but little did he know Jung Kook is with them seating, listening to their conversation.
Mr. Monroe chuckled as he watch Seok Jin trying so hard not to utter any words after his first attempt. “You can ask me anything, I am giving you permission, as one of the person who gave interest to my work, I am giving you a permission so Seok Jin don’t hold yourself back.”
“Ask him about your frustration about the movie that he wrote, Babe this is your chance!” Jung Kook cheered putting his hands on top of Seok Jin.
Taking a deep breath before Seok Jin looks at Mr. Monroe then to Jung Kook. “Mr. M-Monroe… About your husband h-how did you lose him?”
“Just like what the character of Lance he died in plane crash and we are both happy before his trip, but that unfortunate event happened.”
“I still can’t believe it, I am insisting to come with him for that trip but he said that I shouldn’t because I have a tight schedule for that week and I gave up to our little argument and stayed but then he left for good.”
“He may not made it home with me but he surely arrived in heaven safe.” Mr. Monroe showed a genuine smile that made Seok Jin control his tears.
He couldn’t control himself but to imagine himself on Mr. Monroe’s position.
He’s a fighter. Seok Jin thought.
“That story is far from my own story with my man since my man died in a plane crash while Lance died in an illness that left Cleo alone.”
“It’s a happy ending for me since Lance remains on Cleo’s heart even after he died and that’s what should matter.”
“I can surely made it as an ending wherein they will end up together, alive. But that’s not what I made while I am mourning with my own man.”
“Seok Jin, I am old. Old enough to read what’s running into your mind since I’ve been possibly there before you.”
“Care to share with your statement when you said you hate it when someone is dying when they actually have a choice?” Mr. Monroe asked wearing a face of curiosity and a concern tone.
Seok Jin hesitates at first but Jung Kook being there with him nodding, makes him open up. “I-I am married… I am married to the man that I fell in love with the first time I s-saw him.”
“H-He looks like an angel that came from heaven to cheer up the mood I am having all my life…”
“L-Longing for a mother’s love a-and losing the remaining parents I have…”
“H-He came, and made a promise to my deceased parents not to let me feel alone again, we got married w-without my parents and there’s a part of me hoping that they are somehow… Present on my wedding day b-but they didn’t make it.”
“T-They’re in heaven too… Since then, the moment I’ve lost them I became afraid on everything… I don’t want to lose more people b-but…”
Seok Jin starts crying and Mr. Monroe worriedly grab his hands that is also Jung Kook has on his. “Seok Jin dear, its okay… Its okay to expect and be disappointed.”
“That’s what life is, what’s important is… With every disappointments we create another expectations and then remember, it will makes you strong for the next days of hoping.”
“I want to tell you this, I can see that your eyes are full of hopes and expectations but you need to change that for you to not to be disappointed if that’s what you are afraid of.”
“You are creating your heartbreak through your expectations.”
“Whom to live and to die is out of humans control, of course if there’s no foul play such as murders and inhumane acts.”
Seok Jin pull his hands backing out of Mr. Monroe holds as he stood up and bowed his head politely before he left.
With Jung Kook tailing behind him, Seok Jin’s way was suddenly blocked by his husband. “Babe… What he said is true…”
Seok Jin covers his face as he ignores Jung Kook’s question and keeps on walking.
His mind couldn’t accept Mr. Monroe’s one sided comment. How come that he only emphasize a natural death but not a foul one.
“Babe, please tell me what’s on your mind.” Jung Kook asks softly as he caressed Seok Jin’s cheeks.
“Babe… How can he only consider a natural situation? H-How about what happened to us? To you? It’s not an accident b-but intended!”
