Crushing Hard

Scott was walking around the corner of the school on the West side. Nobody ever really went there, so it was more like his comfort spot. He liked to read, possibly even play guitar there, most of the time get his homework done. Scott was walking down the hallway with his phone in his pocket and earbuds in his ears, listening to music. Yknow that favorite playlist you've never seen to get enough of? Yeah that. He was jamming to it as usual, that was until out of nowhere he began to hear laughing around the corner, it was..familiar. He tip-toed to the edge of the wall that was occupying the gignatic hallway, then peeked around the corner to see who was laughing. Once his eyes settled on a familiar figure, his entire face and possibly his body turned a light shade of pink at the sight of who it was, laughing around the corner.

It was a girl with red ginger hair, hazel eyes, wearing a black polo shirt with a medium-length leather skirt, on top of her head accompanied some hairclips that looked somewhat like fruit, they were tiny so you could barely see them. She was laughing with one of her friends, from what she was wearing, she seemed to be apart of the cheerleading team they had at school. It was unclear about what they were exactly talking about, but it had to be something humorous if they were both laughing. However, that wasn't what he was focusing on...he was focusing on the freckled ginger.

That girl was Avery. Avery Hamilton.

Fourteen year-old Avery Hamilton. Scott has had a massive crush on her for 6 months straight. He had gotten to know her after a friend of hers- Molly was her name, introduced him to her. Everything she ever did or talked about was amazing to Scott, she was a classic B+ or A student, who was apart of the Book Club and liked to play the flute, she had amazing friends and was a very good friend herself, always eager to help and do good for the world with a smile. The personality she had caught Scott's attention quite quickly, and overtime as he had paid attention to her more, he was astonished and mesmerized that such a person like her existed. Scott eventually didn't know what he was feeling at first, as his brain was usually overloaded with this newfound feeling, and the sweaty palms didn't really help. But overtime he had realized that it was love, like...

Actual love...

Scott's self consciousness went back into play, and he had almost tripped over himself when he tried to go and hide around the corner, trying to be out of sight of the two girls. His skin was an obvious bright pink, blush spreading to every area of his face, like a child had scribbled red drawing over it and created a blushing mess. He was very much hoping that Avery and her friend wouldn't come around the corner out of nowhere and suddenly see him kneeling awkwardly at the side like a weirdo. That would bring up some serious questions that he did not want to get involved in.

'I really wish I could act normal around you, but these feelings just make 'normal' nonexistent I guess...I just don't know how you're so pretty, so gorgeous-' Scott's thoughts could continue on, going deeper and deeper into his feelings about the girl, but he was interrupted by a voice.

"Um...hey, you okay?"

Scott quickly turned his head up and looked around, his eyes then set on Avery, the last person he wanted to see, looking at him with an eyebrow raised. This was about the last thing that he wanted to happen to him, why must he be so unlucky!? Scott's skin then turned from bright pink to red, sweat rapidly running down his face as Avery stared at him, waiting for an answer. Scott was now paranoid, she was probably now thinking that Scott was some weird freak who leans by the corner of the wall and stares into the ground like he had nothing to do with his life.
