Jessica's POV

I just finished the last of my Science worksheets from class. I missed those from about a week ago, so I had to catch up with the rest of the class. I only missed it because I was sick that week.

But apparently, the teachers there don't give a CRAP if you ever got in an accident and lost your leg, so the sickness got me into two days of detention!

But anyway, everything's still fine with me, I'm just on my way home so that I wouldn't get covered in rain.

The news said that there was going to be a shower from the afternoon to late in the evening, so I had to get home as soon as possible.

I then hear a buzzing sound from my pocket, I dig in my school skirt to see that someone was calling me from my  phone. I flipped it open and answered the call. Maybe it was my Dad, calling to make sure everything was okay.

"OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! OH MY GOOOOOOD!!!"

Someone screeched that from the other line of the phone! Ow! Did they NOT care about my ears!? I move the phone away from my ear for a bit to deafen the screaming from the phone. Once it was done, I put the phone back to my ear to speak to the person who almost made me deaf.

Jessica:"Jesus CHRIST! Can you NOT scream in my ears, PLEASE!?"
I shouted lightly.

"Oh...sorry hon! I was just REALLY overexcited for the news that I am about to tell you!"

I begin walking again to the nearest bus stop, still holding the phone to my ear.

The person that was on the other end of the line was my best friend, and almost my only friend, Milla, pronounced Mi-LA. She was a seventeen year old girl who was always seen with either a ponytail or pigtails. She had pale red eyes and had dimples all across her cheeks.

She was a really nice girl, whenever she wanted, I guess. Most of the time she's more of a gossip girl, always whispering to me about what she's heard on her side of the town.

Now, I'm not usually a person to gossip and talk about people behind her back, but I couldn't just ignore her, so, I let myself listen to the stories she had.

Plus, the stories were sometimes REALLY interesting!

Jessica:"Alright! Alright! What's the 'gossip' you have for me today? I can't really talk too long, since rain is coming in our neighborhood soon."

Milla:"Well, it's not really gossip, it's about me instead!"

Jessica:"Well, what's up?"

Milla:"So....you know that guy from class 2-C, the one with shiny gray hair and sunglasses? Jacket, at most?"

Jessica:"Yes, I remember him, his name was...Lucin, was it?"(Pronoucned Loo-SEEN)

Milla:"Well...HE JUST ASKED ME OUT TO EAT BY A CAFE! I'M SO HAPPY!"
I could tell that she was really overexcited, but again, the screaming!

Jessica:"Milla! The screaming!"
I cut her off of her excitement.

Milla:"Sorry! Sorry! I was just...REALLY excited!"

Jessica:"I understand that, but please, stop screaming for a moment!"

Milla:"Yeah, sorry, sorry! Anyway, I'm going to be going out on a date with Lucin! Do you think that he would like me? Would we even go out on another date!? Would he even like me on that date!?"
