Brooklyn and Miguel stood in the dojo, Miguel was the first to speak, "So are we gonna get Karate pajamas too?" "Quiet!" Their new karate teacher yelled, "Ok" Miguel muttered, "The student only speaks when spoken too. Is that understood?" Their teacher said, "Yes" the twins both muttered, "Yes, sir." The twins spoke at the same time. "Always address me as "Sensei". Is that understood?" Sensei lawrence spoke "Yes Sensei!" Said the twins, "These aren't pajamas. This is a gi. And you'll get one when you've earned it." Their sensei spoke, "Alright you ready to start your training?" asked sensei lawrence, "Yeah sensei" both teens spoke in sync.
Before Brooklyn could even blink Miguel was thrown onto the floor, "Holy-" Brooklyn started but was cut off by sensei lawrence, "Lesson one, strike first never wait for the enemy to attack." "Well you could of gave me, like, a warning." Miguel stated, "Quiet, we do not train to be merciful in here, mercy is for the week. Here on the street, in competition a man confronts you, he is the enemy. An enemy deserves no mercy. What is the problem Mr. Diaz?"
Their sensei said, Miguel was using his inhaler, "There is no problem sensei, you punched me, and i have asthma so..". Miguel trailed off, Then in a blink of the eye Sensei lawrence grabbed the inhaler and threw it into the wall, Brooklyn's eyes grew wide and spoke, "Hey he needs that!" "Not anymore, we do not allow weakness in this dojo. So you can leave your asthma and your peanut allergies, and all that other made-up bullshit outside. Understood?" spoke Sensei lawrence. "Yes, but those are real medical problems. I was..." Miguel stoped when Sensei lawrence gave him a harsh glare, "Yes sensei, understood." Miguel muttered.
"Cobra Kai isn't just about karate. It's about a way of life, Take that first lesson, Striking first is the initial step towards victory. Ok? Like when you're at a party and you see a hot babe or dude. You don't wait for another person to talk to her first, do you?" sensei said, "I mean, We've never been to a party so..." Brooklyn trailed off. "Big surprise. All right, look. Striking first is about being aggressive, all right? If you're not aggressive, you're being a pussy. And you don't wanna be a pussy, you wanna have balls."
Brooklyn rolled her eyes at his words and spoke, "Don't you thing you're doing a lot of genderizing?" "What?" sensei lawrence muttered, "Oh sorry. Don't you think you're doing a lot of genderizing, Sensei." Brooklyn repeated. "No. What the hell are you talking about?" He asked, "Our guidence counselor says-" Miguel starts but Brooklyn cuts him off, "Certain words perpetuate the sexist world view that can trigger-" "Quiet!" Sensei lawrence yells loudly in Brooklyn's face, she gulps. "From now on, you two won't listen to your counselor. You're gonna listen to me. Is that understood?" Sensei said, "Yes sensei!" the twins said in sync.
"Good. Now stop yapping like a little girl and give me fifty push-ups on your knuckles both of you." Sensei lawrence ordered. The twins started trying to do them but both failed. "All right, just do some crunches. Don't you have gym class or something?" Sensei asked. "Yeah" said the twins in sync.
The door rang while the twins were doing crunches, "Howdy there, Mr.. uh.. lawrence?" "Oh, it's "Sensei". Miguel cut the man off "Miguel, shut up." spoke Brooklyn and Sensei lawrence in sync. Sensei lawrence walked over to the man while the twins continued their crunches. The man then turned to Miguel and Brooklyn and asked, "You two, you guys customers here?" The twins opened their mouths to speak but were cut off by their Sensei saying, "Oh no, those two are just illegals, I picked up this morning' their helping me set up."
