The next day Brooklyn was at her locker, she closed it and was facing a girl. "Hi I'm Moon. You're new right?" Moon questioned, "Yeah, I'm Brooklyn, but you can call me Brooke." replied the girl, Moon then grabbed Brooklyn's hand and said, "I want you too meet my friends!" Moon and Brooklyn walked over and were met with two girl's. "This is Brooke she's new." Moon then pointed to the girl with blonde hair and spoke, "This is Yasmine" Moon then pointed to the girl with brown hair and said, "This is Sam" The two girls greeted her, then the bell rang, "It's time for lunch, come on!" moon exclaimed, and took Brooklyn's hand, the four girls walked into the cafeteria side by side.
Brooklyn got her lunch then spotted her twin at the front, she walked over to him, "Hey" Brooklyn said so she was noticed. Miguel then grabbed her hand and they walked over to a table with two boy's and a girl. "Is it cool if we sit here" Miguel asked the three. The dark haired boy replied first, "Ooh. Sorry, table's really blowing up right now. I can put you on the waitlist, but it's probably next semester at the earliest."
"Ok" Miguel muttered, and took brooklyn hand. The girl then spoke up, "He's kidding. Sit." The twins sat down, "Miguel" he said. "Brooklyn you can call me Brooke." she introduced. "We're twins" The two said at the same time, they looked at each other and laughed. "Eva" The girl introduced "Demetri. This is eli" The dark hair boy introduced, and pointed at the boy with lighter hair. Brooklyn and Eli's eyes met they smiled at each other, and blushed. "He's a man of few words." Demetri explained.
Yasmine and Sam started walking towards their table. Miguel stared at them, "Dude don't torture yourself, Those are the rich girl's." Demetri informed. Eva's eyes widened, "Oh god their coming over here." Yasmine and Sam stoped at their table. Sam spoke, "Hey brooke, you wanna sit with us." Brooklyn smiled but said, "No thanks i'm fine, maybe another time." Yasmine and Sam smiled and waved goodbye, then walked back to their table.
The four of them looked at her with wide eyes, "What?" Brooklyn questioned. Demetri replied with, "Those are the most popular girl's in school." "So?" Brooklyn asked. "Your new, how the hell are you already popular?" Eva questioned. Brooklyn opened her mouth but was cut off by Eli saying, "Oh shit, Yasmine's looking at us. Probably making fun of me." "Why would she be making fun of you" Brooklyn questioned. "Do you see this thing. It's hideous." replied Eli "No it's not, it's cool, it looks like you survived the noble war or some shit." Brooklyn said. Eli smiled at her, and when they made eye contact it felt like they were the only two people in the world.
"I don't care if Yasmine is the meanest girl at school. I'd kill all of you just to get her to spit in my face." Demetri said. "If you don't make a move, you'll never have a shot." Miguel said. "True, but i'll also never suffer a humiliating rejection. I'm at peace with my depression. The last thing I need to be is suicidal." Demetri fired back.
Miguel stood up, "What are you doing?" Demetri asked, "Striking first" answered Miguel. Brooklyn's eyes widened "Oh shit" Demetri and Eva said. "No, Miggy do not listen to sensei, besides you're not gonna get the 'babe'" Said Brooklyn. "Brooke" said Miguel. "What?" Brooklyn questioned. "I'm older than you, so i'm more responsible." Miguel stated. "What does that have to do with anything?" Brooklyn questioned. Miguel shrugged his shrugged and continued walking towards the girl's. "Hope we don't get hit with the shrapnel." stated Eva.
The four watched Miguel walk over there, then the boys from the other night went over and sat down. Brooklyn goes back to eating, but her ears perked up when she heard "See you later, 'Rhea'" Miguel then sat back down in his seat. "So, how'd it go?" Eva asked sarcastically. _________________________
Brooklyn and Miguel were at the dojo where Sensei lawrence taught them about punching. Sensei answered his phone while Miguel and Brooklyn practiced punching the dummy's Sensei then came over to them "All right, no, no, no. You two are doing it all wrong. What do you want, those kids at school to keep dumping shit on your head? You want all the kids to think you're a wang-less dork" said Johnny. Brooklyn cleared her throat loudly. "Yeah-Yeah I know you don't have a wang." stated Johnny towards Brooklyn. "You two can stop your training now, walk outside and let the whole world know you're a loser. Or you can plant your feet, look your enemy on the eyes, and punch him in the face!" Johnny yelled.
The twins got in their positions, "Picture your enemy" Johnny said the twins thought of their enemy's. "You have a picture in your mind?" Johnny questioned. The twins both nodded. "What are you gonna do?" Johnny asked. The twins then hit the dummy's in unison "Hyah!" "Again" johnny said. "Hyah!" the twins hit the dummy's. "Are you a loser?" asked Johnny. "No Sensei!" the twins said. "Again" Johnny repeated. The twins started punching the dummy's repeatedly, grunting and shouting.
The twins were washing the windows in the dojo, Brooklyn spoke up, "Hey sensei, is there any particular way you want us to wash these windows?" "No, I don't give a shit. Whatever's easiest. You know what you two just go clean the toilet and we'll call it a night" replied Johnny. "Ok" replied the twins in sync you could tell they were tired. "And do that one on your hands and knees" Johnny said and chuckled.
The twins went to clean the toilet, when they finished they came out. "Bathroom's clean" Miguel said. "Is there anything else you need us to do?" Brooklyn questioned. The twins both stopped when they saw there was someone else in the dojo. "Oh sorry Sensei!" the twins said in unison. "Sensei? Really?" the man questioned. "Oh my god, kids. I don't know what he's told you, but you shouldn't believe a word he says, or you're gonna end up exactly like him." The man says. Miguel and Brooklyn glanced at each other then at the two men. "You and I... This... We aren't done." The man said. "I'm right here man!" replied Johnny as the man was walking out the door. "We're sorry if we inturrupted anything, Sensei." Brooklyn apologized. "Should we do twenty push-ups on our knuckles?" asked Miguel. "Right. Like you could." Johnny replied ______________________________
