"Holy shit. We got a room full of flinchers." Johnny breathed out as the class stood there in the dojo. "Yes sensei" the class yelled, "shit" Brooklyn muttered as she did a double take at his words. "That was not a question. Raise your hand if you've ever been punched in the face." Johnny said. Everyone raised their hands except for Brooklyn, Miguel, Aisha and Eva.
"Put your hands down. All your lives you've been avoiding fights, so you don't break your nose or lose a tooth. This concussion nonsense, So, there's only one solution, and that's before you leave this dojo, each and every one of you is gonna take a punch, very hard, to the face. Brooke line em up. Unflinch this group. " Johnny said.
Brooklyn eventually got to Hawk and hesitated, Hawk noticed it, "It's fine, do it, hit me." Hawk reassured Brooklyn. "Are you sure, I don't wanna hurt you." Brooklyn said. Hawk nodded she slowly got in her fighting position, and punched him. Hawk fell to the floor with a thud.
"Holy shit, i'm so sorry." Brooklyn said fast as she helped Hawk up. "It's fine, just a tooth." Hawk said. "Just a tooth?" Brooklyn said shocked. "Don't worry, princess, i'll be fine." Hawk reassured Brooklyn. _______________________
"I need somewhere romantic, but not too romantic." Miguel said. "You could take her to get tattoos." Hawk said. "What! No, Miggy you better not do that." Brooklyn scolded as Hawk stood up, "I know a guy, just hooked me up with this bad boy." Hawk said as he turned around and showed a big Hawk tattoo on his back. Brooklyn's eyes widened, "Holy shit, that's sick." "Right? Fourteen hours in the chair." "Wait. Do your parents know about that?" Eva questioned. "Oh, they have no idea. Definitely gonna have to wear a T-shirt until college. Probably longer. Please don't tell them." Hawk said as he sat back down. Brooklyn then turned to Eva, "I'm so excited for tonight!" "Me too, we're gonna have so much fun." Eva said as they both squeeled. "God, my ears are bleeding." Hawk said as they squeeled. Eva and Brooklyn just looked at eachother and started laughing. ________________________
Later that night the door bell rang Brooklyn got up and ran to it. Brooklyn opened the door to Eva, Brooklyn dragged her inside. The two had a lot of fun that night weather it was dancing and screaming the lyrics of the song or playing truth or dare.
The two ended up on Brooklyn's bed watching "Mean Girls" when Brooklyn's phone dinged. "Ooo who's that?" Eva asked "Its Hawk" Replied Brooklyn glancing at the text. "So.. your boyfriend." Eva said. "He's not my boyfriend." Brooklyn protested. "Sure, I see the way you two look at eachother, it's true love." Eva said "Nope" Brooklyn said, "Yes" Eva said. Brooklyn rolled her eyes,"Whatever, goodnight." "Goodnight." Eva replied as she layed down. —————————————
