Miguel and Brooklyn were walking in the pool with Johnny, when Brooklyn spoke up, "Sensei, what are we doing here at midnight? You sure we're supposed to be here?" "Yeah don't worry, my buddy's the night janitor." Johnny answered. They stopped in front of the pool. "Alright let me see your hands." Johnny said. Miguel and Brooklyn put their hands out and Johnny started tying them up, "W-What are you doing?" Brooklyn asked "When you're in a fight, your first instinct is to use your hands, right? You gotta un-learn that, and think with your legs." Johnny answered. "How do we think with our legs?" Brooklyn asked
Johnny pushed Brooklyn and Miguel in the pool. Brooklyn and Miguel were struggling to get to the top, a few seconds later they were pulled up by Johnny, "We're drowning" Brooklyn said. "Drowning is for pussies, all right? Don't be a pussy! Use your legs." With Johnny saying that he pushed them back under water. The teens continued to kick, but were lifted up again, "Please not again. I'll die!" Miguel said out of breath. "Cobra kai never dies, say it." Johnny said. "Cobra kai never dies." the twins said weakly.
"Like your life depends on it!" Johnny exclaimed, "Cobra kai never dies!" the twins yelled. "I'm not gonna help you this time. You have all the power in your legs you need. Use it to kick your way up. Do you understand?" Johnny said as the two teens shook their heads, "Yes, Sensei!" The teens went back down under water kicking their legs. Brooklyn came up first then Miguel, "Yeah, that's it keep kicking!" Johnny told the two teens. _____________________________
The two teens were in the dojo, "I wish I could show our mom what I did to those boards, but if she knew where we were right now, she would kill us." Brooklyn said. Johnny groaned, "What's wrong with you?" Miguel asked. "Nothing. Put your costumes on. I'm driving you two to that dance. We're gonna pick up more students." Miguel got up and put on his costume. "What the hell is that?" Brooklyn asked.
"It's my Halloween costume. Our yaya made it. It started off as Deadpool. Then I think it was Spider-man, and then it just kind of became some generic superhero." Miguel answered "Yeah a poor one at that. Your a poor man." Johnny said, Miguel sighed "Yeah" "Well I can't let you go out like that. We have a reputation to uphold" Johnny said. "What do you suggest?" Miguel questioned.
Brooklyn went into the bathroom to change into her 'blue cheerleading' costume with long black rubber gloves. She came out to see Miguel in a Skeleton costume trying to put face paint on. "Need help?" Brooklyn questioned, "Yeah" Miguel muttered, she started, putting the face paint on him, "So, Sam?" Brooklyn asked, Miguel's face heated up, "W-what No" Miguel stuttered. Brooklyn laughed she could tell he had a crush on her. "What about Eli." Miguel said, "No, we're just friends." Brooklyn reassured. ________________________
Miguel and Brooklyn walked into the dance side by side. The two walked over to Eli, Demetri, and Eva. "Skeleton, Cheerleader. Classic" Demetri spoke. "Thanks, I like your sorcerer costume." Miguel said Brooklyn stopped paying attention to them and started a conversation with Eva. "Oh my gosh, I love your costume, Regina George." "Thanks, I'm thinking about coming into the dojo soon" said Eva, Brooklyn smiled, "Really, we can be like badass best friends." "Yeah, partners in crime, we would kick ass." Eva said and laughed.
"All right, y'all, we're about to switch it up." the DJ spoke. "Wanna go dance?" Eva asked Brooklyn. Brooklyn nodded and they went on the dance floor and started dancing. Later that night Eli and Demetri went over to Brooklyn, "Miguel is in the boys locker room with Kyler getting his ass beat." Eli said fast. "Shit" Brooklyn cursed and ran out of the gym into the boys locker room.
When she got there she saw Kyler beating Miguel with a lacrosse stick. She twisted Kyler's arm, and took the lacrosse stick she then kicked him where the sun don't shine, he fell to the floor. The other teens dropped Miguel on the floor and started charging towards her. One came towards her, and swung at her, she easily dogged it, and hit him in the eye with the lacrosse stick. She then punched him right in the nose, and he fell to the floor. The last one punched her in the nose, which started bleeding. She got really pissed off by that, so she kicked him in the face as hard as she could, and hit him right in the chest with the lacrosse stick. All of the boys were on the ground groaning, "Happy Halloween Bitches" she breathed out.
Johnny than ran in with Eli, Demetri and Eva, "Holy shit" Eva said shocked, the four were looking at her with wide eyes. Demetri, Eva and Johnny were helping Miguel while Eli was helping Brooklyn with her nose. "That was badass Brooke!" Eli said. Brooklyn laughed "They deserved it, what happened anyway?" "We were listen to them, but the lacrosse sticks fell and they saw us, me and Demetri ran but Miguel stayed." Eli replied "Dumbass" Brooklyn muttered. Eli laughed "Thanks for what you said the other day at lunch, it made helped a lot." Brooklyn smiled and took his hand "It's what friends are for, if you need anything you can come to me." Eli smiled, but was really hurt by the word "friends" deep down. "Hey, we gotta go." Johnny said holding Miguel. Brooklyn nodded and kissed Eli's cheek he looked at her, blushed , and gave her a big smile.
When they arrived back to the twins apartment, Carmen opened the door and started crying when she saw Miguel in Johnny's arms and Brooklyn all bloody and bruised. She lectured Johnny about karate. "Sorry, I shouldn't have gotten involved." Johnny said as he started walking towards the door, "No! Cobra Kai never dies!" Brooklyn said through tears. Johnny left without another word. Brooklyn just started breaking down, she finally was starting to like the valley. Brooklyn ran to her room crying, bummed out for the rest of the night. ___________________
