Is he laughing?

It started small and composed but then began to bubble up into more, his mask falls down to his chin and he doesn't bother to pull it back up. A hand rests on his wheelchair and the other is cradling his face as he laughs almost manically.

Joe just stares.

At cherry.

At the screen.

At an empty shell of Reki.

At the screeching of his wheels going over a turn done flawlessly.

At the sparks that fly during it.

"What is this?" Langa says so hushed he doesn't even hear himself.

"What is this?" Reki says through a small laugh, "I get it's got a name, a bad one frankly but like what is it actually?" He does a small gesture at the *this*

He can feel himself turn but doesn't think anything of it.

"Is 'The Zone' just like a cool name for the afterlife? I've seen the good place is this like how they don't call it heaven or whatever?" Adam seems tired. Like that'll stop him.

"I've already said you're not dead-" "yeah no I get that but is that like what you have to say? Like do you have to wait to break the news so we don't go crazy."

"WILL YOU LISTEN TO ME?" Adam yells, Reki wonders what the pay is in heaven because he seems like he needs a raise.

Reki doesn't think he expected to explain this to some kid today.

Adam breathes in and out, "you are not dead. This is called the zone. I do not know how you got here. I do not know why you're here but you are. You're able to leave though, I'm just not sure how that works for," he looks him up and down, "you."

Okay rude.

Reki should probably stop talking now.

He nods hesitantly and Adam does the same before going back into panicked thought.

This is weird.

It's even weirder since he's not dead.

"Kaoru?" Joe asks while Cherrys still giggling.

"He- ohmygod he did it- He's done it-" he gets out through laughs.

He smiles, and it's like nothing any of them have seen before. It's big and toothy.

And his laugh...

It's loud and giddy.

Maybe just a little insane.

"Kaoru. Explain." He demands it this time.

"He's done it! He's- The zone! He's- oh my god! The zone! He's done it!" Cherry gets out through excited giggles.

Joe looks scared and his breath hitches, "no."

"Im sorry, you both need to explain what's happening right now." Miya says sweetly with a smile, which is sign that he is beyond furious.

Langa is the same way.

I promise one of these days I'll upload on time. However this day is not today.
