A/N: Hi, this is my first story ever on here and the idea for this chapter is Cordelia is a little insecure lately and you cheer her up with a song :) Hank isn't married to her so all she has is your unconditional love. Requests are welcome :)

TW: Sad Cordelia, mention of acid scars, Fluff, Comfort,

"Cordelia?" you gently knock on the bathroom door after hearing sniffles coming from behind it. The blonde has been pretty insecure about herself lately, you've noticed. It wasn't really anything out of the ordinary for your girlfriend. However, more recently she had been locking herself in the bathroom for long periods of time, distancing herself from you more often, being a lot quieter and more to herself and it had worried you. After a silence and hearing some ruffling from behind the door, you hear the lock click and you open it, finding her standing there with her back to you, the mirror on the wall hidden by a bath towel. "Dee?" you ask, quieter this time. Your heart aches to see her like this. You reach for her shoulder to turn her around, but she grabs your hand before your skin touches the soft material of her shirt.

"Don't," she whispers, her voice thick with emotion.

"Please Dee," you almost beg, "I'm worried about you" your voice cracks a little, you hear your heart beating in your eardrums, the room is now deathly silent. You just want to hear her soft voice. You want to hear her laughter again.

"You can't see me like this," she says, turning her head in shame. You look at the side of her beautiful face, her glistening nose wet from tears poking out from the side of her soft, straightened blonde hair, her features are slightly tense and you squeeze her hand tighter.

"See you like what?" you question her, your hand now resting in her embrace on her shoulder, she had loosened her grip at some point, relaxing into your touch. You drift your hand over towards her, tickling your fingers over her shoulder blade before tugging her shirt slightly, "Please turn around, let me see you" you say and she takes a deep breath before she slowly turns to face you.

Her head is bowing, looking down at her hands clasped together, fiddling thumbs drawing circles around each other. She didn't dare look up though. You bent your knees just a little so you can look into her face but she turns her head. "Cordelia." you breathe, "Please let me look at you," Her face scrunches up, and she shakes her head, her bottom lip tugged under her teeth in an attempt to stop the tears from falling, "Oh, baby." you coo gently as you bring your hand up to her scarred skin around her eyes, your fingertips brushing over the dimpled scars ever so slightly, "Talk to me,"

She looks back down, her mouth slightly agape as she wants to speak but can't find the right words, "I can't do this anymore." She admits, her hands now apart as she moves them in slight frustration. "I'm not me anymore. Every single time I look in the mirror I'm-" she stops herself bringing her hands to her face to hide herself away from you and you pull her close to your chest, your heart shattering into billions of minuscule pieces every single time a sob escapes her lips. "Fiona was right. I'm worthless."

If her sobbing into your chest wasn't enough, hearing that awful confession fall from her lips made you die in every way possible. A lump formed in your throat as you held onto her tighter never wanting to let her go. "You're not worthless," you say after a moment, her cries die down a little and turn to soft sniffles again. "Let's go to our bedroom and you can tell me what's going on in that pretty head of yours, okay?" you ask softly and you feel her nod into your chest. You guide her into the bedroom, kicking away the t-shirt you left on the floor when you got ready earlier today.

"You're going to have to pick that up." Cordelia almost scolds making you chuckle before you look back at her, cupping her cheeks with your hands as you both sit down on the bed.

"Why do you think that way about yourself?" you say looking into her soft eyes, the red scars freckling down towards her cheeks and the sun from the window lit her eyes up making them shine extra beautifully today.

"I can't do anything right." She breathes, "I'm not special, don't have the sight anymore, I'm not the Supreme, my mother hates me, I have no friends, no family, my eyes are not even the same fucking colour!" she almost yells in anger, her slight lisp coming out more with every word, "I can't." She chokes back another sob, "You deserve more than me, Y/N. You should be with someone else who deserves your love."

Tears roll down your own cheeks at her confession, although she thinks it's truthful, it really isn't. No one deserves your love like Cordelia. "It's a little bit funny, this feeling inside. I'm not one of those who can easily hide. I don't have much money, but girl if I did I'd buy a big house where we both could live." Cordelia looks at you as you sing softly to her, her eyes well up but not with sad tears this time.

"We do live in a big house?" she looks into your eyes with a little smirk on her lips and you bring your hands back to her face wiping away her tears

"So excuse me forgetting, but these things I do" your thumb brushes over the scars of her eyes softly as you look deeply into them. "See I've forgotten if they're green or they're blue" you sing, a smile not leaving your lips and your heart starting slowly healing when she returns the soft smile

"Are you sure you're not blind, sweetheart? This one is clearly blue." She tries to joke, and a tear rolls down her cheeks and you quickly wipe it away with your thumb.

"Anyway the thing is, what I really mean, yours are the sweetest eyes I've ever seen" A pink blush rose on her cheeks and she looked at you with so much love in her eyes, biting her lip as her chin trembled slightly. "If I was a sculptor, but then again, no," she lets out a soft laugh at that and clasps at your hand tightly in her own "Or a girl who makes potions in a travelling show. I know it's not much but It's the best I can do. My gift is my song and This one's for you." You wipe away every tear that tries to fall the second it forms, she's still upset, but this song is definitely making her feel better. She loves the way you comfort her like this, she finds it even more heartwarming and special when you find the right song for the moment. "And you can tell everybody, this is your song. It may be quite simple but now that it's done. I hope you don't mind, I hope you don't mind That I put down in words, how wonderful life is now you're in the world." She falls into your arms and you cradle her softly, kissing her forehead. The aching in your heart subsiding as her sniffles do.

"Thank you," she says after a moment, as her blue and brown eyes lock onto yours. You can never find the right words to express your love and adoration for the blonde. She's angel-like, ethereal. Even after all these years of being together, she still makes your stomach flip with every touch, the butterflies fluttering wildly with every smile, the magic in your fingertips fizz with every kiss.

"I love you so much Cordelia, I love everything about you and you're special and so so so worth everything," you say as you stroke her hair playing with it softly, twirling it around your fingers. She hums in content, still laying in your arms, always feeling at home whenever she is with you.

"I love you Y/N." she replies and even still after all this time of being with her, you still feel so utterly lucky to call her yours, and the fact her love confessions still send magical like ripples through your body. Your smile widens at her words and her features soften and she relaxes into your touch yet again. "Really." she adds "I love you so much, I don't know where I'd be without you," she confesses and your fingertips still stroke over her face gently, you just stare at her admiring her features, her cute nose, her trimmed eyebrows that have risen at you a lot of times for the idiotic things you do, her soft plump lips that you just always want to kiss none stop, she's so breathtakingly beautiful.

"Now come on, we're gonna have to get the girls up for morning gathering," you say after a while of being in each other's arms and she sits up and she pulls you into a dizzying kiss sending tingles travelling into your fingertips and the pit of your stomach, your heart hammering in your chest as her lips move softly with your own. Kissing her always feels heavenly and you never want her to leave. You just hope that one day she can see herself through your eyes and see how beautiful she is and how loved and worthy she is.
