Pinigilan kong makatakas ang hikbi. Huminga ako ng malalim at sinikap na pakalmahin ang sarili.
"Somewhere safe..." sagot ko.
"Bobbi, where are you?" muling tanong ni Rex sa mas kontroladong boses. Even with just his voice, I can tell he's worried sick. Mad? Most probably. Sinisikap niya lang na huwag tuluyang maipakita iyon. Well, he didn't have to. He deserves to get mad. I deserve to be at the receiving end of his anger.
"You don't have to know. Just... enjoy the vacation. Without me..."

Pinalis ko ang luha ko. It's useless doing it because my tears just kept on falling.

Kinabahan ako roon. I know him too well. If he says he'll do something, he fucking will! At hindi imposible na mahanap niya ako dahil sa tawag na iyon.
Binaba ko ang tawag. Sa nanginginig na kamay ay nagawa kong itapon sa basurahan ang cellphone.
