Jordan's insides boiled inside with rage as his boss told him what he had just done. He couldn't believe his ears at first, but then he had been shown a picture of the boy. Truly, his boss was the vilest man he had ever seen in his life. What the heck was he even doing there, he asked himself repeatedly.
"What do we do with him?" Jordan asked, his long nose flared.
His boss scratched under his chin in a fake pretence of thinking. Then his eyes lit up, and he looked at Jordan with a smile and a maniacal look in his eyes. Jordan's lower lip wavered slightly like he suddenly didn't want to know what they were going to do with him.
"We can't kill this boy. He is too precious, so we make use of him. Twist Teresa. That sounds like an interesting plan," his boss' rough voice stated dryly.
To Jordan, that did not sound like an interesting plan at all. He wanted to rip this man's eyes out, but of course, he had orders, and he couldn't do that. So he stayed and forced himself to listen. There was information in every word, even in silence.
"But why do we need him? What is it with you and this new girl anyways?" Jordan calmly questioned.
His boss eyed him with hostility, but soon that disappeared from his grey eyes. He ran his hand through the remaining grey-black hair on the side of his head and smirked. Goosebumps attacked Jordan. He felt immensely threatened, but he had to keep a steady hold over himself.
"Why? Do you know something that I don't?"
There was an edge of suspicion in his boss' voice. Jordan wanted to shoot through his head and tell him to go screw himself, but he sighed. He had to be careful with his words the next time he spoke. A feeling of irritation crept on his skin.
"You know what I mean. I've never defied you and I am not planning to"
Yet.
He observed Jordan, and his solemn grey eyes read his body posture. He took a deep breath in and massaged his temple.
"It's for a bigger picture. You'll see soon. I trust only you after all"
Jordan didn't believe that bullshit at all, but he decided to not peck at him anymore.
"I know"
Jordan left the room and started walking downstairs.
That's why I've not ended anyone's life yet.
